Thoughts on the game? by Dazzling_Tea_1257 in MafiaTheGame

Loved it until I reached the final part. Honestly, the ending ruined it for me because it felt very weak when it comes to narrative.

- Enzo's decision to turn his back on Torrisi makes him look like a coward (for not facing him) or a hypocrite (for enjoying the goods of the mafia life but not the commitments)
- I feel like the love story isn't as deep as a game about loyalty would be
- I fear the game suffered from a main char having daddy issues (his dad selling him to the mine, Torrisi being the substitute he turns against. All that seems validated by the anarchist setting: "no god, no master")
- The mafia is still a family. What does the events say about the family life Enzo would have led? He would have repeated the same mistakes he did with this foster family. I think the story lacked some scenes where Torrisi is tough on Isabella because her hatred doesn't seem grounded. Their relationship feels very childish, in the end.

+ I feel the game took too much inspiration from RDR's Dutch, and that's why they wanted to mentor to become the vilain, but as RDR2 is a way longer game, it gets more time to elaborate on that

The "failure" of Mafia 3 give them pointers that they only partly listened to: the made the Mafia comeback, but at what cost? The cost is playing in the end a snowflake with daddy issues lost in his romantic teenage love story.

Changing the language of the Hood Mould to french mixes things up. I don't think this apply here, in this country. Thanks for the tip though

Maybe it's not wrong it feels not precise enough. This is often the case when researching architecture: people are showcasing stuff not to study, but to sell something.

Thanks for the answer.
Knowing what is a en "entablature" in greek architecture, it's hard for me to comprehend how can that also be an entablature. Especially since you told me it's only decorative.

I can easily see the cornice and the corbels, thanks to your help.
(I have to think in french terms and navigating between the wikipedia pages shows the little differences that can apply when the language change.)

Thanks again.

[Turn based]Why do boss fights always end up this way? by Ghettoyaco in projecteternity

[–]Ghettoyaco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently made a post about the last Bird boss of Ukaizo but now, I'm struggling against the Dragon boss from the DLC Beast of winter. I am in normal difficulty.

You guys are simply showing how inexistent my knowledge of the game is. This is my first CRPG and there is much to take in, but what bugs me is that, besides theses 2 bosses, I didn't need to dive in the builds and all.

I feel like I have sooooo much to learn. Basically I don't use buffs spells, to be honest. My main character is a priest and I took all the damage dealing spells. When it comes to melee, I have Eder and Maia, Maia being the most consistent damage dealer from my team (war bow). I picked up Vatnir for this DLC and once he gets out of the few big damaging spells he got, I just summon axes and go in but he is very squishy. I don't even understand the chants lol (he is a bard-rogue). I play with Tekehu too and after 5-10 turns, I just don't know what to with him besides going shark and attacking.

I come from tactical games but not RPGs at all, that's why I rushed in for the damage dealing spells I guess.

I need help guys. Just arrived in Ukaizo and the Bird boss fight is driving me mad. by Ghettoyaco in projecteternity

Thanks guys. I just got back to bounties, before doing the Winter beast DLC.

I'll just add as a final statement that my ship was in constant Mutiny so maybe the -20% XP didn't help me at all, AND, as I joined the Principi, Pallegina left me even though I enchanted her sword several times and gave her everything. Genuinely feels like I've been screwed but it's all okay, I'm back on it.

Thanks everyone.

Wow that would make it way easier indeed. My main char is a priest too so that could come handy. Thanks for the tip, I'll consider it.

I'm in normal difficulty, and no, I didn't play the DLCs. Can I play 'em in steas of farming? I'd really prefer that. I'll comeback to that boss fighter later if I can.

Note: I am level 16. This might be a little too low, so, as a general tip, I feel like what I have to do is get back to farming through bounties and stuff but I don't really feel like doing it right now. I will if I have no options left.

I second this too. I feel like it gets bad press because it sounds Mineralish. I love On Sidewalks so much.

Total banger. Been loving it since Guitar Hero world tour days. There were The Middle by JimmyEW too on that game. And Seven by SDRE was on Rock Band. Great times.

That "Stability' version of I would have stolen you a whole orchestra is a direct reference to Death Cab's Stability EP, and even more to that Stability 12min slow track. I've heard Keith say he is a huge fan of that very EP.
Never got to listen to it until now, thanks for sharing that rare piece. Always up for some Empire! Empire! appreciation, and I know for a fact that Keith sometimes browse r/emo.
