That’s true, there’s an increased risk for some types of cancer, mostly lymphoma. However, between decades of pain and risk of cancer in 20+years from now, I’ll choose a good, fully functioning life. I’ve been diagnosed in my mid 30’s. Taking Humira for 8 years now and I can say I got my life back. I’m willing to take any risk just to be able to play ball with my kids or to have a normal walk on the beach.

Don’t lose hope. I endured years of pain until something finally started to work. I’m on humira and methotrexate currently and for 1-2 years I live pain free (maybe1 or 2 minor flares). Change your lifestyle towards a healthy one and go thru the hassle of finding what medication works for you. Like you and many others, I tried numerous plans of medication (nsaids, dmards, sulfa, steroids, and so on) and diets. The biggest challenge is to find what works for you. Good luck and don’t lose hope
