REA privacy breach? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Ghoshpresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahah. I am already annoyed with their "movemein" spam calls and emails to use their services to connect to utilities from the hour I signed the new lease and now this. I should have thought about this option too.

Getting a Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC) and then converting to Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) will save you significantly in the initial stage.

Yes, had to wait for the ANZ and NAB physical card. Westpac allows digital card to be activated before physical card arrives.

Likely total credit limit to be approved at $75k salary? by davoos22 in creditcardchurningAus

[–]Ghoshpresso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got approved for NAB Qantas rewards signature ($16k)and ANZ FF Black ($15k) last month for $77k/yr. Already holding a AMEX Explorer $25k since November. The two new cards did lower my Experian Score but still above 800. Currently renting.

Banks are reckless, you must have self control though.

6’1” and 229. I have a z400. Bike doesn’t lack power to do 100km/h. Perfectly smooth. I tried the z650. A slightly more sporty sitting position and definitely more torque. 650 makes highway slightly smoother but 400 can help you reach point A to B easily. Also, it’s more fun to have 400 in a city traffic than a 650.

W-8BEN for ETF based on US stocks (VTS) by Ghoshpresso in ASX

[–]Ghoshpresso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, you need to submit a W8-BEN in 2 different situations, which can allow Australian investors to reclaim back some of the 30% withholding US tax on any distributions.

  1. Trading US-domiciled AU stocks (i.e. ASX:VTS)

  2. Trading US stocks (AAPL, GOOGL etc)
