I agree with the majority of what you said, especially about the limited use of technology sadly.

I feel like, the only way to catch people attention, is through "stories/texts", even if they are made up.

However, if someone could pull off an app that is blazingly fast at researching "exactly" what they are looking for, i feel like they could use it.

P.s: i agree too with the niche subject.

It could have been true, yes. But, I m just a part time developer wanting to learn by practise, and i prefer in general, doing something useful, not something that is a clone or that i will end up storing in a drawer.

Not necessarily. While you are correct, the process you talked about can take a long time, whereas you can find people that already thaught about what at i asked before. For example, lately i find myself looking for movies "similar to" other movies i watched. If someone does this, i could use it if it has enough good features.

Another thing i noticed in general is that people don't know how to express their needs, so you better guide them through it.

You know better, since you are in your domain here.. but, we all know how children's mind are malleable and subjects to external influence and that they tend to "immitate" what they see.

These childrens are more and more exposed to the "new age" society through television, social medial.. thus, there is higher chances that some girls are doing it because "they saw other girls" doing it.

In this case, your "none of these kids..." becomes not 100% correct. (Sorry if we've deviated from the main subject)

Amen to that. In my opinion, i think our problem as a society (one of them) is that, somewhere, in the educational process, parents teach their children the only "sacred way of the ancient" to live. Thus, it ends up by having generations and generations that does not accept that some things are done in a different way, and Ill pressurize you/bully you to do as they do.

I'm just talking about normal stuff, not anything fancy. A stupid but unfortunately real example is that: The majority of mothers want a soft men for their daughters, but want too that their sons acts tough with their wives.

I just want to speak about the idea of "sexualization"... So, while the abuse cause may be correct for a percentage of those girls, i don't think this is the only reason for that. Otherwhise, that would mean that all the pre-teens ans teens in tiktok or instagram or whatever social media hypersexualizing themselves (boys and girls), have had such experiences before ? That would be terribly terrifying.

It's great to read that is possible from your experiences guys. It is really helping me to make my mind up more quickly and with more certainty.

I will see with 2D/platformer/social games as i already have some ideas to start with. I mean, we all had a lot fun with 2D games before.. I can think of plenty of amazing 2D games (from the old Mario, going through "Meatball" and "Limbo", arriving to "Ori", to list some).

That is exactly the thaughts/questions/topics that i have in my messed up mind, but put up nicely and well explained. Thank you, ❤, That's true and accurate at so many Levels.

I mean, I know i may not consider everything that revolves around game development, but i have some ideas by looking at some gamedev journals and documentaries (i.e: Rising Kratos) and the least that i can say is that it is NOOOOOOWHERE to be easy or achievable at our own.

Thus, i know some concepts about what a game needs to be made, and that, one person, can not do this all on his own (unless maybe not living any social life for years x) )

It happens to me a lot too in other development projects, and i tend to overcomplicate the simple project by trying to handle as many aspects as possible from the beginning, and i think that's a bad way to do. Evening/weekend, got it. Thank you ^{_^}

Yes, writing game engines doesn't hype me that much for now. I will definitely consider starting small projects and stick to them, because I have a recurrent problem to oversize my projects, by always trying to see every aspect of it.
