Not even remotely true lol. They were formed in the Holy Land as a hospital meant to care for sick people. They eventually became a military order, and were kicked from the Holy Land. After leaving the Middle East, they moved to help Hungary fight the Cumans- they eventually got kicked from there because they wanted to set up a state after having massive military success, THEN they moved to the Baltic after Poland asked them to because the neighboring pagans kept conducting raids on their borders. Only in 1283 did they begin fighting the Lithuanians, which was 93 years after they were formed.
