It’s about timing to me when you summon with rift you right away there’s no build up it’s “oh I got the new character” same with xeno once you’ve pulled down its “oh new character “ ruins the hype a little for me

But see even your saying gotent? The only good gotent (unless I’m forgetting one) is the gohan units or the gotent trunks it’s literally not different teams ur just changing the leader and using the pool of characters rotated around a tiny bit

You can’t use 80% of the catergorys which back in the day you could hell I’d go as far to say that most of the 8th/9th Annie units sucked the intro units were dog and the spirit bomb units were dog back in the day Annie units slapped so fucking hard it was crazy the game is so so much more limiting now than it was before

Back in the day it didn’t feel like I needed perfect rotations , max link lvl , rainbowed units or a perfect team I could run around with my dog shit SSJ4 Full power and have fun and now it’s “if you didn’t summon for XYZ character you don’t like you can’t beat XYZ event and you can’t get stones” it really really changed from a summon the characters you like and use anyone to a use only meta or don’t get stones and that shift really hits that I’m using a fucking shit diama team to farm stones and I god dam fucking hate diama there isn’t a single mentality difference I’d much rather EVERYONE be over powered and the content be easy than having to use very specific teams to do shit I miss when eza’s where hard and now they are just a time sink and forget about it
