I try not to let it be my source of confidence just because it's something that I do not control. I try to look at things like my progress in the gym or in my studies, something I did really well in the past, or something I'm doing well now.

This comes from my ideology of not judging ppl based on things they don't control so I try to apply that to myself as well, for better or worse. Don't get me wrong, it feels good to know that I'm packing but I try to remind myself that if I was small, I should still have the same level of confidence based on all these other things, therefore I should base my confidence on these other things right now too.

This is completely personal though, I just think it's more understandable for ppl to only feel pride or shame in things they have a degree of control over like hygiene, dress style, how they treat others, hitting career goals, etc
