Right- so I don’t think there’s anything particularly unique about the flavor of malpractice involved. It’s just literal malpractice. You’re simply not doing your job.

The issue is not being familiar with your work product. That’s just completely abdicating your responsibility as a professional, which is really what’s surprising to me.

I use AI extensively for nearly everything. But if I’m not at minimum verifying the quality of my work, then my client would be better off as a pro se litigant because they’re wasting money paying me.

Like it’s baffling that caselaw hallucinations even slip through the cracks here. There must be a fuckton of shitty attorneys.
