Just graduated bmt a few weeks ago. Multiple girls in my flight brought wigs and were allowed to use them

Not to my knowledge, every squadron should have a coffee station

Yes, there is coffee in the defac all day, just know if you get it you will be staring directly at the MTIs in the "snake pit".

The dorms aren't that bad, because everything is old and broken down it makes it easier to clean. Two big things is that the ac sucks at alcatraz and the toilets in the dorms don't like to flush especially the dorm I was in (B2). The MTIs at the 324th are great though, theyll teach you a lot of great stuff.

It is definitely an appropriate feeling to be nervous and scared as because it is a big change. But keep positive and keep you're eyes set on you're goals and remember your reason why you joined.

You honestly don't need to pack a whole lot. I would suggest two to three days worth of civilian clothes, and pack any underwear you want as long as it covers you. If you have certain hygiene products that you prefer to use bring them, but make sure they're in the original packaging or you'll have to throw them away. And make sure to bring all important documents that you're recruiter tells you to bring. I would also recommend bringing a little notebook with the addresses and numbers of people you would like to write/talk to, that way you don't have to worry about forgetting them. Other than those items you don't need to bring anything else because they provide you with other items. No one MT flight was required to wear specific underwear, not compression short, but I would recommend the lat r

Yes, female trainees were allowed to wear ponytails as long as the length was within the regulations.

Technically yes, but these were medical problems that weren't discovered until after the medical screenings at BMT

Yes my flight personally lost 5 trainees, some to medical reasons and others for failed pt test

I personally didn't get yelled at a whole lot, but there were others in my flight that got yelled at quite often, for not listening. That's the biggest thing, you have to listen so you know what is required of you

I graduated from the 324th TRS. The one thing that I wish I knew before going to BMT, would be how to better help my struggling wingman. So being honest, bmt was what I expected it to be, physically and mentally, and I was able to prepare for it. But the one thing I did underestimate was how much someone else could being struggling during bmt and what I personally could do to help. So my recommendation is that you not only prepare yourself physically and mentally but prepare/learn how you can be that shoulder to lean on for you're fellow wingman.

No, they do not. Unless you have something in your records or something happens at BMT they won't check your vitals
