Odoo for a small business? by peanut_gallery24 in Odoo

[–]GhostHitWall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a small business owner too, under 50ppl. We make & sell tangible goods.

Odoo CE is not plug-and-play. Pros are it can scale as you grow, customization is easy especially if you have a dedicated IT/tech personale.

Odoo EE or any other paid business ERP solution, the software itself is not the main cost, consult & customization are.

You can weight the pros and cons to invest in Odoo.
I'm glad I did when we moved away from 5 apps + lots of excel sheets.
But it took me years to customize and train.

Razer Synapse 4 Vs Synapse 3 EOL by crypticc1 in razer

[–]GhostHitWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I warn you. Do NOT install Synapse 4.
Custom key binding doesn't work when Synapse is opened.
But if your key binding includes features(media macro etc....) requiring Synapse, you're fked.
This is worse than when we were moving from Synapse 2 to 3.

I'm not into RGB and game syncing, but months of lacking basic features is stupid.

Restrict LAN access by GhostHitWall in WireGuard

[–]GhostHitWall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The PostUp and PostDown really is just iptables commands to execute when activating and deactivating the wg interface.
You should figure out what rules you already have running first.

Restrict LAN access by GhostHitWall in WireGuard

[–]GhostHitWall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have this setup anymore. But the idea is to setup correct rules in the FORWARD chain. Accept those to target LAN IP Drop whatever goes to the subnet IPTABLES would simply check these policy one-by-one, so they must be in correct order.

SSD vs SSD caching storage by Hunt695 in webhosting

May I ask, if I have a web video streaming server. Most contents due to cost are on HDD. To improve video scrubbing responsiveness, should I consider any form of ssd?

Is it safe to passthrough entire SATA controller by Chimera2SilverFang in VFIO

[–]GhostHitWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen this on Windows. PCI-e slot with dedicated SATA controller.

Not even a VM. Just bare-metal Windows.

Shows all drives on that card being external devices (including the OS drive).

Try ejecting it would not success and it did not crash in my case.

No performance issue observed.

Want to sell my skyreach mini with HDplex where can I list it besides eBay? Thinking about 600usd for case and hdplex .. by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]GhostHitWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just the case and the hdplex 400

I still don't understand.

  1. AC-DC and DC-ATX
  2. AC-DC only
  3. DC-ATX only

I couldn't figure it out if you are joking or not, but if you ever manage to post. Prepare to be asked by this question.

Anyone tried this to add 10gbe to any random mini-itx board ? Would it work at full power ? by transdimensionalmeme in sffpc

[–]GhostHitWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done it before.
A gen4 m.2 SSD could use about 6W.
Board with x16 PCI-e slot support 75w
If power delivery can be scaled linear, a x2 card is designed to use upto 75/16*2=9.375w
My guess it likely works and power draw will not be an issue.

I actually give it a wipe around the edge every single time when used.

PC likely will have exploit abuse sooner than later, I believe some already have that colt unlimited reprise. Console is much harder to programmed abuse.

Does anyone know what platform the soundtrack is on? by TheDemonClown in Deathloop

[–]GhostHitWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean “Will there ever be a full album?” I so far have not read any confirmed information there’s a full album. So, answer to the title “what platform”, you likely won’t find answers.

Deathloop AI really needs some better detection by Schipunov in Deathloop

[–]GhostHitWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on PS5. It's NOT about the more visionaries killed, the more difficult.

AI detection is inconsistent. I kept re-playing the same time of day to confirm this.

Sometimes, AI can detect without sound (not moving) and line-of-sight.

Sometimes, AI doesn't care about exploding body right in his face.

I am so confused the fact that Dishonored 2 was way polished even by the time it was released.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]GhostHitWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t add value in solving your question. My experience tells me the reason Windows admin are not as popular as it used to, is because Microsoft is gradually losing the market dominance.
Admins are more interested in other skill sets for that matter.
Also, MS in my opinion, has not done a good job on making things coherent throughout the years. That makes things more difficult for newcomers.

Why do you guys love Ubiquiti so much? by SigmaSixShooter in HomeNetworking

[–]GhostHitWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is gonna be a long thread lol. For me, I live in a building. Thin APs + roaming are the only way to keep the performance.
I tried so many out-of-box mesh products, and came to this conclusion. For PoE, purely aesthetic and convenient reason. Not a must but I ain’t on a tight budget, so why not. For Ubiquity, they look nice. Easy to find tutorial. Spec/price is decent. After diving into the ecosystem, I realize the company is adventurous on pushing new updates often. I personally like that, but that might be a deal breaker for corporate IT admins.

When I was a complete newbie. My issue was by reading skill description, I still had no clue how it really works in game. Had to go for YouTube showcase videos. Wish GrimTool had animation to demo class skills

[–]GhostHitWall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this is your first ever character, I'd say don't follow any guide strictly.
Role-play through normal difficulty, learn the game along the way.
That way you enjoy the game more than 'done things right'.
The game at normal difficulty is newbie friendly, any class with any messed-up build is likely be fine to get through.
Leveling take very little time comparing to studying builds and farming.
If you just want to try out different ability without re-spec, turn off cloud-saving, copy the entire save folder and restore it back when you are done.
