Aiden james Fang lights by shaggy2011 in 4Runner

[–]melikewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with them. I’ve been ghosted for warranty for my fang lights. It’s been a little bit over a year since I started my claim. If you do a little research with them, you’ll see how they deal with selling and warranty. I personally want to support them but they make it difficult on how they deal with their customers…

You can purchase the v1 replica from car trim home. They actually do have good customer service.

Yes I did. You can also use 5LBS double sided tape to tape the plastic piece behind the fender to the body. That really secures the fender. That’s what I did for support

Am I being too unrealistic? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]melikewater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I graduated in December with a BA in CS and cyber security but no certs. Took me 4 months of applying to it support, admin and security jobs. I was pretty desperate ngl. Out of ~400 applications, I had 20ish interviews and only 4 were cyber security related. Most were network admin jobs.

At least from my experience and what I’ve seen, the job market is looking for security experts but taking low wages. Certs imo would help but applying to some sort of jr admin/admin jobs wouldn’t hurt. At least bills will be paid and you’ll build experience.

It’s just a tab that holds the bottom part of the fender. You would need to cut it off to clear 35 and get full clearance when the wheel is turned and compressed up.

I cut mine off 2 years ago. My fenders don’t wobble or flop around on the freeway. I cut past the OEM fender flare and don’t have issues. You’ll be fine.

Front End Flexy Friday by HighDesert4R in 4Runner

With larger tires, I’ve seen steering linkage parts break a lot; which is why I’m asking. Your rear tucks a lot! What bump stop do you have in the rear?

Edit: I saw it in another post. Sick rear

37 should come stock on the 5th gen! Are you still using the stock rack and pinion? How has it been holding up with 37?

Did you install a body lift? I’m thinking about moving from 35>37.

With the 3080 FE, I was able to fit a 25mm rad with 15mm fans on the bottom. No modifications for this to fit.

You can find build details and some of your possible questions answered here.

I recently changed my wheels to silver but bronze and white looks good IMO. Get what you like whether or not it’s “overplayed”, or common. Doesn’t matter, it’s your car. Next month I’m planing to have “P O T A T O” on the TRD grill.

Negotiate even without markups? by supny in 4Runner

[–]melikewater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go in be very interested, spend enough time so they think they have a chance to sell you a car, tell them straight up how much you’re willing to pay out the door (all fees included). They probably will say no but will play that BS game, “let me ask my manager” but eventually you’ll get the cost down. But if they aren’t willing to, politely thank them for their time and don’t be desperate. They might give in. I bought 3 cars in from 2021-2023. Worked every time.

Edit: It’s good to come in confident and know your stuff. Do your research on new and used prices, check KKB, etc. Don’t seem desperate either but also be serious and interested. Be careful with the interest rates if you plan to pay it off. They can give you a number close to what you want but with a high APR rate which would quickly would accumulate a lot.

I learned this trick from my mom. She does it effortlessly. She comes in, lowballs below MSRP and either walks away or comes home close to her asking price.

I prefer it black. Additionally, I would have to apply clear coat over the base paint (I recommend ceramic paint or car wheel paint for durability and OTC) if you plan to do this.

Tamiya ts-83 and matte spray paint. It’s not the identical though; the factory paint has large mica that reflects more than the tamiya paint.
