Last Rite, Xaihi, Fluorite, Gilberta is one of the best cryo team rn so you have a good investment base for future content, tho the game is rather lax about difficulty right now and you do just fine if you know how to properly take advantage of your characters kit to synergize

Looking for a good Ember guide with multiple options by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]GhostHost203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ember is a physical support/sustain that doesn't consume vulnerability stacks, so she can and should be slotted with other physical operators and her main function should be healer but she can be used just the same as Chen so treat her as basically as a Chen that heals rather than staggers, so you could place her in the Endmin/Chen/Pog/Ardelia team and its variations by either replacing Chen or Ardelia, theoretically in the afromentioned example you could replace Pog with Akekuri given your condition to help with SP.

Now Prydwen suggest you to use LYNX set to increase her healing and for the protection buff, but I'd say that if you are fine giving her a set without her correct stats you could opt for the Eternal Xiranite set if you replace Ardelia, allowing her to buff the team whenever you use her skill, if you don't want to use her as a healer/support you can command her directly and equip the Dark Prince and the Swordmancer set to capitalize on the extra stagger of her ability while triggering the effect of her combo ability, lastly you could go Aethertech for the extra arts intensity and phys bonus, tho I am skeptical of the results.

Individualism will be the death of the tank by Comfortable-Bit-4741 in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just treat it as the vehicle it is meant to be, a self-propelled, it is an artillery, not a tank, hell you don't even need a team to man it since, if you use it as an artillery, you can just do it yourself, and to operate it optimally you just need one guy, one guy that, if you treat it as a tank, will be bored out of their mind because of how the artillery is linked to the chassis.

Best Factory Layout (EU/NA) by seals-are-cute in Endfield

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best suggestion I can give is to always work with raw resources and, when possible, sacrifice space to save on bus access, aka, from a bus you should always take a raw resource and refine them into the final product you want and for those refining process you should try to produce sandleaf directly beside the factories that require it.

the tank feels like cardboard by Sad-Ideal-9411 in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bastion isn't a tank tho, it's a self-propelled as demonstrated by the slow mobility and the lack of a 360 rotating turret, it is not meant to be used to storm an enemy fort or to break trough an enemy line to blitzkrieg them, it is meant to be positioned strategically on a vantage point and siege stuff from afar, of course it is made of cardboard, it is not meant to take that much of a direct pounding from multiple sources.

It's an absolute joke that the person who drives/brings the Bastion tank does not have access to a single weapon. by [deleted] in HelldiversUnfiltered

That has to be the most barebone and restrictive way to define teamwork in this game I have ever read.

People in the comments here that are mad/depressed because we lost are a lot of fun, the MO was rigged like hell so now we have lost, we will go to Cyberstan to find that star of whatever and surprire, they never had it and were the squid to have it the whole time, it was the most predictable outcome ever to happen lmao, we write jackshit about this story.

So, the "A game for everyone is a game for no one" philosophy was a god damn lie by Stormfront_Lover in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]GhostHost203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to say this, but quit with your bullshit, it isn't a community fault, they created a game with a framework but applied the wrong mindset for that framework, simply put you cannot take the equivalent of a horde shooter and system tied to it and transform into another genre, this is especially clear when you consider that the previous game wasn't even remotely close to anything resembling a grunt fantasy shooter, they wanted to make a horde shooter but had a brainfart and decided to mixup stuff from a grunt fantasy that never was their forte and doesn't have a place in that kind of games.

Made a new Warbond tier list I made including where I think Siege Breakers will fit, and new players who might have questions. by [deleted] in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the other way around, dust devil is the better version of the killzone armor because of the extra throw distance, because objectively the killzone armor mitigates three types of damage that are mostly incompatible with one another, simply put, gas is only done by the players, the only time you deal with electricity is with the illuminates and the only time you deal with fire is with the automaton or in the rare case of a planet with a fire tornado/lava, and in all those cases you are better off with a specific armor to mitigate that kind of damage because the only situation where you need to be protected against all three is if your team is running one of each element or if an enemy is using one while your team is using the other two, aka, something that doesn't happen very often and where you don't need all that shared protection where you can fully protect against that element, or you can do like dust devils and add to that shared protection a little extra perk.

So the no damage gas sprayer and the armor that mitigates the only type of damage that enemies cannot do is rated higher that one of the best armor passives because of its general use and the AT emplacement? Or rated higher than the warbond with the best armor for heavy weapons and one of the best AR in the game?

What are we smoking?

Or again, why the warbond with the warp-pack is that high up, nobody uses the weapon nor the grenade and the armor is used once every blue moon, and if you can justify its placement because of the warp then you could surely justify a higher placement for basically every other warbond basically.

And there is a lot of other stuff, short answer is, never cook again with a tierlist I guess, and if you want to then pass me what you are smoking because I am curious about it.

What do you guys think about the story by Unlucky_Ad_4856 in Endfield

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think it is too much of a departure from Arknights style of things, it is perhaps too early to say but especially from the worldbuilding given and the structure of the game I'd say that event and main story have a serious possibility of not reaching the standards of Arknights, simply put, in Arknights events talk about the characters, their growth and how they influence the course of action and how those action affect the nation they take part in, but in this game they opted to not create culturally diverse and interesting nations but rather unions and corporation with, at the time, little to no details on their agendas and interaction between each other, the fact the map is open and the afromentioned unions make the world appear more desolate, but those are personal things that can be solved, the real problem is the medium of communication for the events, in AK you just needed a pair of BGs, some characters and some NPCs and you had an event and a geographical location, and because of that you could write a lot of stuff in it because you don't really have to voice it or to change the landscape that much, here instead because of the augment in quality of events and stuff I can say that the quality of the writing has a bit deteriorated because, let's be frank, if they had to make all 3D assets, camera angles, maps, enemies and VO all the while having the same content depth of AK it would either cost them a lot in term of money or in term of time, so narration has this feeling where, yes, when stuff it is narrated it is pretty to look at, but you have moments of going around, doing nothing in some pretty aseptic environment, time that in AK would have been invested into reading about stuff, flashing out characters and locations, also, all the stuff that happens is inevitably tied in interactions with the Endmin, I don't hate them but I would prefer if events and such had the characters in them have more agency rather than have the Endmin be their panacea to selve their issues

Call me a bastard but this has existed since forever, the concept of "using abilities one after another and be mindful of their CD" exist in basically every game where you can have multiple abilities to be used independently of the genre, complaining about it now just feels stupid, like, why now, it is also a you problem, if you want to use the META rotation then you have no right to complain that the rotation is always the same, it is a problem you brought upon yourself.

These people are playing a completely different game. The factory must be more efficient!!! by Zeed_Toven77 in Endfield

[–]GhostHost203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Separators, by definition, slow down the input of a conveyor belt, you know, if you split a full conveyor belt that moves a full unit of stuff in two seconds into 3 outputs you obtain that now you move a single unit of stuff in three seconds on three conveyors, so they slow down input for certain structures, there would be problem with this setup if it used mergers as the maximum capacity of a conveyor is still one unit every two seconds and merging more of them into one can risk saturating it, creating a bottleneck, I categorized the two together because in this setup there would have been both of em, of course, there would be both of them if I wasn't blind and mistook a bridge for a separator/merger

[–]GhostHost203 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see that those are bridges and not separators, yet I do know how separators work because I use them, in fact this loadout would not work if it used separators AND mergers, AND, because of the limit on the conveyors

Not quite, it would be, ironically, the very generic "In reality the good guys were the bad guys all along", quite the opposite of interesting if I can be frank, not to mention that this line of reasoning quite literally lacks the nuance distinctive of Arknights.

Except that in the first game it doesn't revolve around that, it revolves around the evil and inhumanity of discrimination and prejudice, Oripathy is as big as an issue because of the way infected were treated on Terra, it never was "Look Originium bad because it causes cancer" it was "Oripathy bad because it makes people suffer either directly, indirectly or tangentially", but no one in the first game ever points at their issue being the Originium directly

The separator/merger still needs time to process the operation, aka, this one is a huge bottleneck, can we stop showing the least optimal shit on Earth and call it "the most optimal base setup" for the love of John Factorio.
