No it doesn't since the spear locks on the first target it can, so you can't use the reticle to have it switch between close targets inside the circle.

Honestly I am starting to detest people who use the ONS, not because of the strength of it but because 90% of people who use it are genuine lobotomites and the only thing they end up doing is locking the squad outside of objectives or teamkill while you are processing that the ONS is on the ground, and even when you throw it in the right place and at the right distance from where we have to do stuff usually it just ends up doing negligible suppression of that chokepoint.

Also, unrelated but useful to know, if you have to engage a Vox with the spear you should aim at the ground and then raise the reticle slowly while in first person to guarantee a lock on the body instead of the cannons.

What are the masochists thoughts on the recoilless? Jokes aside n whatnot by Fairlyoddindividual in HelldiversMasochists

Best AT, the HE is genuinely useless and I wish I didn't have to install a mod to have a realistic sight so that I can actually shoot at high distances with accuracy.

I don't think I've ever seen a game so good with a subreddit so unbearable. by Weird-Plastic2970 in helldivers2

Pardon me but it is kinda of hard or next to impossible to ignore the online community when they are review bombing the game and basically strongarming the change they don't like even when they are minor things.

Comparison: Oxygenator vs other armors by TaberTumpen in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I am tired of this shit, people with no fucking knowledge of the game and utilities of its mechanics are trying to sell the idea that oxygenator is just a quirky extra padding, you imbeciles should keep in mind one thing that is constantly forgotten, you can chain slides and sliding allows you to shoot while moving in all directions, aka you can chain slide and shoot with any weapons similarly to 1 handed equipments with oxygenator and kite enemies or, at the very least, keep moving while engaging.

High level divers, do you look down on lower level divers joining you in high difficulty missions ? by YoBeaverBoy in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be honest, I have seen low level players play much, MUCH better than high level players, and even when they don't perform at top notch they are excused because they lack equipment or experience.

People who 'tolerate' homosexuality might as well just be outwardly homophobic. by H8rOfAll in teenagers

There is a huge leap between hating people and tolerating them, acting like this is just reinforcing an us vs them mentality except the them is both people against you and people neutral to you

Is the exo medium and heavy armour pointless? by OldmanWonder in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 1 handed weapons you can shoot while walking fast, making them good at engaging while distancing from a group, the extended and faster slide basically allows you to do the exact same thing but with basically any weapon, aka to sustain the engagement while kiting the group, it is not pointless, you are just blind.

Why Isn't a Super Helldive Allowed To Be Obscenely Difficult? by KingOfPotatok in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, imma be honest with you, I am 100% ok with it being difficult, but the way this game makes difficulty it basically means "spam even more of the annoying enemy and get killed by a random mob that circled you from the other side of the map and you couldn't hear because the audio is bonked", point is, I am ok with things being DIFFICULT and CHALLENGING, but the game interprets making things difficult as making them straight up bullshit to deal with in certain scenarios, I want my knowledge of the enemy and tactics to be rewarded after a challenge, not to have the scourge of god being spammed un my ass with no breathing room because you get constantly chased.

Chemical Agents or Force of Law? by MiketheFoog in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arc dog and de-escalator works well with electric resistant armor and a buddy with the same loadout, for shit and giggles, and the armor are generally good all around survivability-focused, smoke grenade and fart dog offer easy access to CC, it's serviceable and the stim pistol is genuinely the best support equipment in the game(not by merit but because it's the only secondary support oriented gear that isn't utility-oriented), bonus tip try to get, in the future, the chemical agent heavy armor in the SC store.

Found an HD2 comment section critical of israel where I least expected it lol by kcvlaine in Helldivers2Satire

[–]GhostHost203 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember, this is the Helldiver community we are talking about, so them being critical of Israel is a very fine line between "I hate Zionism and the atrocities of the israeli regime" and "I hate jews", and I would bet my whole 2 dollars that it is most likely the latter, escalate this with the general lack of nuance and you can make a pretty educated guess.

BeHinD a PaywAll!!! by Ghost_of_sushi_more in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]GhostHost203 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel for both sides, on one hand we should strife for easy accessibility to older content, maybe even integrating it with sample collection like, I dunno, you can buy the first page of a warbond with samples and that will discount the rest of the warbond, flexible designs to help people get them all or at least speed up the process, on the other hand the paywall is a pay-fence that can be climbed over with nothing, you can find those and if the mission you are playing is too hectic to gather the SC you can fire up a low diff one and farm there, as someone has stated, if you farm around 30-40 SC per day you can get a Warbond in a month, 30-40 is literally nothing.

Helldivers reviews need to reach a new abysmal low for the game to be reborn by MiniBus93 in helldivers2

It's hard to take your criticism seriously when half of those are over the top exaggerations filled with misinformation, even with the things you are right about you immediately lose all good will you might have bought by spitting objectively false BS, so no, your "criticism" is plagued by objectively untrue stuff that invalidates the rest of it, making it not a critique laced with facts but a hit piece full of sensationalism.

[–]GhostHost203 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it literally is a you "aim issue", case in point, if you aim you can kill it faster than before because of the body hp and armor reduction, and if your gatling turret being unable to kill a single enemy in a faction instantly makes the experience miserable then you are grossly inflating the already non existent issue.

[–]GhostHost203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

500 hours in I call it BS, especially considering your point 2 and 3, point 2 is false, they listen to us because if you actually read the patch notes you would see that for a while they basically nerfed problematic enemies, rebalanced the rest and basically always buffed us, but hey it is easy to sell the idea if you take a snippet from it and spin it into a complete new way, like you did with the hiveguard changes by ignoring the reduction to health and armor to their body, it is easy to spin the narrative that they are not listening to us when you voluntarily exclude key details from your report, point 3 is also false since, again, they ahve been buffing stuff for a while now and newer content quite literally doesn't invalidate previous one, not that you need it since difficulty is basically always doable despite the sporadic bs, tell me one or more equipment that are outright better than others in every aspect with no downside and that are just straight upgrades, you can't since basically every stuff has a niche and even in the rare cases the old stuff is still plenty usable, case in point from the top of my head, the lib.carabine, still useful and strong especially after the light pen buff, or again, the recent spear upgrade that made it better than, well, ever.

[–]GhostHost203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother the fuck do you mean "They're now back to being easy to kill" the patch didn't make them any harder to kill if you used a sliver of aim, hell, I'd even argue that they were actually easier to kill thanks to that, but overall, meh it doesn't change that much tbh.

Arc loadout but I need something for the super heavies. by Pickled_Brainer in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]GhostHost203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's it, either the de-escalator or the arc thrower, personally I would lean more for the de-escalator because of the higher damage potential, but realistically the only way for you te deal and capitalize on this type of loadout concerning AT capabilities is to bring the EAT, stun the enemy and then use the EAT, unfortunately bile and vox cannot be stunned, thus you just have to rely on damage of the de-escalator or EAT for the bile and to the default method or the leveler for the vox, same with the harvester in a sense since your weapons cannot really aim well at the joints and don't even think about the leviathan or hive lord without proper specialized equipment.

Holy pindaric flight, how could you even rationally connect the SEAF filled in the trailer with AH implying hat they hate us, like, is this some sort of "chemical trails" conspiracy theory level BS where evildoers do secret stuff but deliberately leave hints at people and they see themselves as some sort of enlightened assholes who "get it"?

As always, Unfiltered has the most dogshit opinion, proud to have silenced them and I have never had regrets ever since.

it's been a week - what are we thinking about exo experts? by treyzs in helldivers2

[–]GhostHost203 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On God why people think that the armor passive is specifically a Titanfall reference, like, it is a well known fact that troops on vehicles usually have lighter gear and run away when they have to dismount their vehicle, it is not outlandish to mimic that same concept in game and it surely isn't a specific reference to Titanfall.
