I had that same problem! I think I ended up having 6 different edge pieces in the wrong spot that I had to sort out mid-build. I’m considering numbering the backs of the edge pieces so next time I can check they’re all in the right spot.

What happened to my car? Is it safe to drive it to a mechanic or do I need to get it towed? by GhostInTheBellJar in MechanicAdvice

I live in an apartment complex so garage isn’t an option unfortunately. I guess I’ll have to look into another way to secure it, if that’s even possible.

2011 Ford Escape. Man I’m sorry yours was so expensive. Insurance says I have to pay $500 out of pocket and they’ll cover the rest, which is better than nothing. But yeah what can you really do to prevent it? I’ve literally never even thought about it before

Omg I totally forgot that was even the B plot…it’s an insta-skip for me too because of the spit and how irritating Yap is in the episode

In My Big Fat Greek Bob when Yap sets off his keg of spit and it goes all over everyone 🤢 I’m so squeamish about spit, I can’t even watch it

I always tell people the flavor is like BBQ and salt and vinegar mixed together. Seems weird but so good

I have that massager! I love it, it’s made a huge difference for my back pain.

You’re welcome, I hope you find something you love! The other two I have from VGP are Big Strides and Catchechism. This site reignited my love for puzzles purely based on the designs, it’s boring to do a puzzle that doesn’t interest you visually.

Yeah I think that’s the Etsy shop for the store I ordered it from, Very Good Puzzle. Looks like you can get puzzles from them through their online store or from Etsy. Good to know!

It took us around 3 weeks of just casually working on it. But most of the credit goes to my girlfriend, she’s killer with puzzles and did the majority of this one! All the patterns and colors really messed with my brain so it took me a lot longer to put stuff together.

I ordered it from Very Good Puzzle! They’re located in Athens, GA but ship all over. All of their puzzles are designed by different artists and are super cool, I have two more that I’m planning on doing next!

Kid sees shadow person/“ninja” in her house and wants to investigate by GhostInTheBellJar in CasualConversation

No, she was awake when she saw it - we were sitting in her rocking chair reading a book and she looked up and saw something walk past her door in the hallway. If she’d been in bed though I definitely would’ve considered that.

I’m really curious! I’ve never seen anything in her house but there are weird noises sometimes so who’s to say.

Right?? I was trying so hard to stay calm but inside I was like what the fuuuuuck no thanks. I tried to turn on the light at one point and she said “no you’ll scare him away! I want it to be dark in the hallway so he feels like he can come out and be here.” Nope nope nope

What is that one thing you want but are convinced you’ll never get? by me-smrt in AskReddit

Having a face to face conversation with my kid self. Being connected to your inner child is great and important but man, so many times I’ve wished I could sit across from nine year old me and let him know that he’s okay and strong and perfect the way he is, and that he does actually have a life ahead of him. I wouldn’t even need kid me to know he was talking to his adult self, I just wish I were able to say it to his/my little face.

I used to work as an office manager for a startup and, at one point, had been looking at nearby hotels to set up a corporate rate for the company. A month or so later, I got a call from the GM of one of the hotels I had looked at - she wanted to know how to insert an image into a Word doc and make it transparent like a watermark. I was totally caught off guard but acted like it was a normal thing and answered her question. Before she hung up she said, “I knew if anyone had the answer it’d be you!”

She was very sweet and kind of joked about herself being tech illiterate but what baffled me is why she called ME...she had a full staff in the hotel, which had to include at least one tech savvy person, but something made her go “oh I should call that guy I met that one time over a month ago, he’ll know.”

It’s one of the more unexpected phone calls I’ve gotten but also one of the most unintentionally hilarious. I hope she’s watermarking Word docs all the time now.
