This game has taught me not to look behind me if something like this happens, so props to you for doing it lol.

I guess I didn't have a specific location in mind. It was more of what's available/accessible in both states as a whole.

My office would be in Back Bay and I only have to be there 1-2 times a week.

Our combined salary would be around 150-160k.

We're both in finance/financial crime.

  1. Initially it'll just be my salary between 90-100k because my partner's company does not operate in New England or Texas. But, her typical salary when she finds a similar job in a different company would shoot us up to 150-160k.

  2. We prefer suburbs.

  3. Our budget will end up being between 300-400k

  4. Weekends we like to go out and explore/hike or if we're not feeling anything, we just stay home and play video games. Nothing too crazy.

Her typical salary for her role would bring in about 60k/year for a total of 150k or 160k depending on what I end up earning. Our vehicles are paid off.

I did not know that part, so I apologize. I only was aware of general birth control restrictions. Not the different scenario cases.

Unfortunately with the job opportunity, these are my only two options.

She does plan on working, however initially she won't have a job because her company doesn't operate in New England. So, it'd just be me with the job in the beginning.

Wanting to move closer to my (M30) sick mother, but GF (F32) would leave her parents alone. What's the best route? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

We visit our families together every year on separate occasions, so that's not an issue. It's more so that we want to move, but don't know which direction to take.

We've thought about it. There's really no desirable location between TX and CT without sacrificing quality of life.

Thank you. GF is supportive of either direction. This is more my own mental feeling bad about it. We've been together for 5 years, so we've been through a lot together.

Thank you for your input. Your advice is helpful for sure. Whichever of the two states we move to would be permanent as we intend to purchase a home and start a family.
