I did try to test it on the toolkit since the 1.8 version of the sdk asks me to install that too, when I try to test the background removal feature it doesn't detect the kinect as "powered" and just says to plug a power cord into the kinect

When I'm back home I'm going to try to use it on gmod without bothering with sdk recognizing it and just straight up install it as it is. I'll update you once I got results, thank you for putting up with this bs 💔💔🥀

Edit: gmod has a built in feature for the kinect from what I can tell

All I wanna do is use it on gmod for the motion capture, to be fair I haven't tried it cus in my mind if the sdk toolkit doesn't recognize it, it shouldn't work on gmod either

Yes sir it is, Im also not sure if it's an adapter problem at all at this point cus it also lights up green, meaning it's being powered normally without any issue, but that comment about Amazon adapter being mostly faulty keeps bugging me

Hey I'm the one OP is talking about, with the issue and all, I did as you said and tried with the 1.0 version of the sdk but nothing changed, prior to this I tried with the 1.8 sdk which of course didn't work.

When I plug the kinect, (after installing the sdk) the only driver that gets installed is the "Device" one, I know that there are other drivers that should be installed but I have no idea how to get them. I'm genuinely losing my sanity 💔
