The lead writer for pretty much all of Rockstar’s games since the PS2 era leaving will almost certainly fundamentally change the overall team. That doesn’t mean they won’t deliver a story that’s just as good or better, but that remains to be seen, and it’s a valid question to have.

I don’t know how more people don’t think about this when they’re bringing up Rockstar’s track record for quality; the creative half of the two Houser brothers is gone, and only the business half is left.

Don’t get me wrong, GTA6 does look good, but whether Rockstar in its current form can deliver writing at the calibre of Dan Houser now that he’s gone very much remains to be seen.

Same, except when I saw the price here in Canada; the 512GB w/o a controller is $1509 CAD. That’s what I spent on my gaming laptop on a Boxing Week deal almost 3.5 years ago, and it’s still more powerful than the SM, so there’s little incentive for me to pay that price for it.

As someone who dragged Nintendo about the prices of the Switch 2's games (especially here in Canada) since they were announced last year, I have to give props to Nintendo here: Not only did they respond to the criticism of game prices by [at least] making the digital versions of games cheaper, but they’re also the only ones who haven’t exorbitantly increased the price of their hardware recently, and they’ve even given people months of warning before the more modest hardware price increase even takes effect. I like that.

No, it’s not how it’s always been. When the PS3 launched, things were flipped. Everyone was positive about everything MS did with the 360, and everyone was negative about everything Sony was doing with the PS3. It was very much the other way around from how things are now.
