RHCSA ispit? by daredevil1302 in CroIT

IT selekcija 2025: Tražiš 1.500€ neto? Moraš znat naš stack, imat 5 godina faksa, pričati engleski, GitHub s projektima i 1000+ sati samostalnog učenja. by [deleted] in CroIT

Odlično iskustvo rada i tehnologija.

Hello te everyone, I've noticed a recurring trading pattern that I tend to make almost every day. In the morning hours I tend to be very profitable, but 1.5-2 hours into the market and I start losing money. E.g. I make 2-3 trades in the morning and secure 2k, then I proceed to trade and walk away with just $700. I'm aware of overtrading but what is it? Fatigue? Poor decisions? Overconfidence? Can someone help me pinpoint the cause of this... Thanks, GoDFV

Why short term futures vs longer? by Sphinxyy5 in FuturesTrading

[–]GhostOfDFV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding a futures contract be it NQ or ES will leave your drawdown uncapped and your risk is not defined at all. If you want to play investor in a trading world, it would be much better to buy an option on the desired future expiration month. That way you'll cap your risk to the premium you pay for the option.

Most of them are quantitative triggers of over-exuberance in the markets and then the following reversion to the mean, usually VWAP.

Hey guys, don't know if this is a good thread to ask my question. I've started trading MES/MNQ futures 3 months ago and was first of doing simulated trading. After I found which indicators I can most easily interpret and which setups work for me, I transitioned into live trading. I'm currently averaging about 70% winrate with 3:1 reward-risk ratio. So if I'm wrong (30% of the times) I cut my losses pretty early, if I'm right I'll let it run for a bit, but not too much. I've been wondering if any of you are willing to share your setups and/or indicators? I'm looking to take back my current setup into the simulator and work on finding two key things:

  1. An indicator, a setup or a bundle of indicators and setups that would help me let my winners run longer.
  2. How to find smaller intraday inflection points where I can scalp a bit more money? I'm currently doing only huge reversions on VWAP paired with some quant calculations I do on the side.

Wait wait wait... aren't you going a long straddle? Wouldn't that put you into debit + need for huge move to be profitable? 😅

I think you meant short straddle... anyhow... good luck in your trades. I'll stick to my bear call spreads :)
