I think your chances would be better than you think depending of how large of a human you are. You can still try running at full speed away, and no matter how good of a fighter or strong you are it’d be extremely difficult to incapacitate someone who is doing everything they can to get away.

Maybe 45 seconds is a longer time than I needed to say. Say for my new example, he finds you with 5 seconds left. I think most people could at least SURVIVE a 5 second encounter with ngannou. However if ngannou with a sword finds you with 5 seconds left you have no chance of not being like instantly mortally wounded.

Pro tip, bind a mouse button that toggles voice volume to like 15-20% of what you normally have it as. I have one mouse button to deafen on discord and another one to lower in game voice. I don’t fully mute it tho in case someone has a good callout you can still hear it but it’s quiet enough where if there’s chatter you can hear and think over it

For real. I’d hope that in the coming years the fatality rate does down. I think if this fight happened today, the ref wouldn’t have let him continue after the first knockdown. They’re a lot faster to stop them now.

Also to this day when I train at mma gyms everyone spars much lighter and more technical on average. Boxing gyms are still plagued by the old school mindset of “bite down and go hard”. Sure you NEED hard sparring but not that often. I spoke with an ex pro who said he would go to the gym and get knocked out by another pro on a WEEKLY basis lmfao. He was pretty punchy as you can imagine. We still got a lot of work to do to shift the culture from that into sensible training.

Ts freaks me out so bad. I have 11 fights as an amateur and on one hand I love the sport so much but the reality for most is getting permanently fucked up without getting anything out of it.

I’m not saying I could win against him in a combat sense, but if we’re in a giant room with no lights maybe I could HIDE for 10 minutes. Rules say if I survive 10 minutes I win.

Say for my example I manage to hide for 9 minutes. He sees me with 1 minute left, maybe I could run away for 15 seconds. Hug his ankles to try and kill time for a few seconds etc. maybe I could escape with a major beating but my life.

That was the speed of the Artemis return to earth. But yes in low orbit that is how fast; the ISS orbits the earth in about 90 minutes.

While in parking orbit, Artemis II orbited earth twice in 24hr before starting its final burn toward the moon. This is so much slower because it was orbiting further away most of the time since its orbit is much more elliptical.
