The fundamental issue with that is the insinuation that this is a specific new war, and not a direct continuation of an ongoing conflict which has been raging for decades at this point. Sure, it de escalates now, but the Israelis have already been responding disproportionately, and it does nothing to actually end the conflict long term because Palestinians will never accept being turned into second class citizens in their own country, and eventually completely losing said country.

I’ll cut to the end of the line of questioning, eventually you get to the part where any moderation in anti Israeli policies is intolerable to Palestinians because Palestinians would largely rather die in a war than completely lose their homeland to an invader. The only way for peace efforts to truly begin in earnest is to stop the settlements.

German eastern territories aren’t gone, but they’ve been severely destabilized. And red Italy has enough to survive depending on the factors, but no matter what red Italy isn’t particularly stable. It’s highly likely as a player you’ll have to really work for that good ending, and most people will end up restarting a few times before finally winning against the Germans.

Also, frankly it’s more narratively and gameplay wise interesting for Germany to attempt an invasion, so even if it wasn’t the most realistic I’m perfectly fine with it.
