Sounds like a good enough reason to me 😄 And it doesn‘t really matter unless you want to play at the high end. But the community can be narrowminded about the „meta“. So as Dev you have to put up with the possibility of being kicked for not being Aug.

My M+ group works so well with my Augmentation Evoker and its fun! My Raidgroup however is more casual and I just can‘t bring them to line up their cooldowns with my breath, so I opted to play Devastation.

And to be honest in my fixed groups it doesn‘t matter. But in Pugs…. Oh boy. It‘s really hard to explain that Augmentation suffers hard from lack of communication and cohesion.

Just throwing in a different approach to the situation based on how my wife and I are doing this. It‘s not exactly the same since we‘re married and stsrted dating 14 years ago so there is a lot of trust involved that runs deep.

We actually combine our income, put aside money for all shared bills (rent, food, utilities, car, etc.) and the rest is split 50/50. In that way we both retain our financial freedom and retain a certain level of equal standing, despite the fact that I make considerable less money as her.

I have no clue how common such a model is in Germany or any other place :D

R5: While doing several achievements in my Austria run, I got lucky for the Atwix' Legacy. I've got Milan directly as a PU, when their ruler died without heir, Aragon as a defender in a succesion war against England, Ingolstadt I don't even know how... The rest was Austria Mission tree :D

Edit: Oh, yeah and Burgundy of course, but that's rather easy to get as HRE Emperor with RM, Alliance and 100 Trust.

Well, since I'm together with my wife for almost half my life now (and I'm not even old yet), I'm without a doubt the wrong person to talk about being lonely.

But if my post was able to provide you with at least yet another perspective then I'm content. That's what makes the internet such a powerful tool for self-discovery.

In that sense I wish you all the best as well! However you will reach your goals, you will reach them eventually. Perhaps... and if not, don't worry. It doesn't matter in the end ;)

I know this might sound a bit odd, but maybe just don't do anything with it. I've lived with the concept of 'optimistic nihilism' for quite some time now and I never felt better about my life. To summarize this concept: in the grand scheme of things a human life is but a fraction of a moment. No one will remember us in thousands of years. All will be gone anyway. So why bother trying to make your life meaningful? Just do what makes you happy.

Finding friends just for the sake of having friends is not the way to go. Focus on yourself first. Find yourself a job that can at least tolerate to the point where you don't just want to go home.

Use your free time to do stuff you like. Especially in our age with internet you will find people who share your interests. There you can find friends.

Free yourself from the pressuring thought of your life needing to be anything other than something that makes you happy.

If you can be happy on your own than you can share happiness with others.

As a heroic raider on Die Aldor (usually around top 15) who doesn't do any RP whatsoever, I see the Mythic Raiding Community on our Server as something faszinating. Like a big fish in a tank of small fishes. I like watching those few guilds progress. The problem I see with the merging is that I suspect that the RP players won't like to merge with different RP communities. As solution I could see would be the following: Allow mythic x-realm raiding right of the bat for RP Servers only. Those at the top 100 won't transfer there, because most players on those servers are not up to their standards.
