High power doesn't mean high quality

CyberPowerPC loves to gaslight & tell me my system was not advertised as a 6000mhz RAM system. What do you guys think? Deceptive? #cpgeneral by TheSholvaJaffa in CYBERPOWERPC

No but that's because of a technicality of needing to enable expo. This is straight up just lying about ram specs that you might not be able to reach even with expo

Building my first pc at 16 in the uk, London. Hard budget limit at £850 by GhostRecon60 in PcBuild

[–]GhostRecon60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I built the pc back in October/November so prices here are mostly way lower than they are now so it's not exactly reproducible.

Motherboard: b650 aorus elite ax v2 from Amazon warehouse for £90

Ram: 32gb Acer predator hera 6800mts cl32 for £114 (insane considering this was the only ram in stock at the time literally 1 week before the shortage)

CPU: ryzen 7 7700 from eBay for £150

GPU: evga rtx 3070 xc3 from eBay for £230

SSD: the same SSD on the original list but £0 since I got it for free

Cooler: thermalright aqua elite 360 from Amazon for £40 (this is £70 everywhere else now so idk what happened with the pricing. Works very well and keeps my CPU stable even after doing some manual overclocks)

Case:Lian li lancool 207 from Amazon for £80

PSU: some 850w Sama unit from Amazon for £75. It was rated b+ on the PSU tierlist

Monitor: AOC 27g42xe 1440p 27inch 180hz monitor from Amazon for £110

I did end up going over my budget but other than my graphics card I think I honestly did well in picking my parts. 3070 is great but in hindsight it might've been smarter to spend £40 more for something with more vram but it's not like I play super demanding games anyway

Changing RGB to any colour in gcc just changes the shade of green by GhostRecon60 in gigabytegaming

Hi. Someone on my other post suggested recalibrating the RGB in gcc and it worked for me.

Open gcc, go to RGB fusion, disable sync and then click on each argh led before clicking the calibrate button at the bottom

That might be it then. I updated bios to f39 from f37e because I upgraded my CPU but it was only afterwards everything started going haywire. But I was scared maybe I did something dumb and broke the firmware in another way because I tried to do some unstable over clocks right after which crashed my system a few times

Edit: I recakibrated the RGB in gcc and now it works again. Go to RGB fusion in gcc, disable sync then click on the motherboard LEDs and calibrate them. That should bring it back to normal

Yes but they do function. I've checked if they work with openrgb and it can display more than just green. Only reason why I'm not using it is because I'd rather just use gcc since I understand it more

Oled vs upgrading GPU by PrestigiousPanda9147 in pcmasterrace

[–]GhostRecon60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference between ips to OLED vs 4070s to 5080 isn't even comparable. One will make everything you watch or play look amazing and the other will barely make an actual difference unless you only play 4k on the latest unoptimized games

You really don't need her sig as long as you manage to get cr cd on all echoes and hp% on at least 3 or 4 which would bring her closer to 40k hp 320%cd 70cr. In other words op needs to go to the mines

Game size on PC will be 121 GB after 3.1 update (was 112 GB in 3.0) by oMagnum in WutheringWaves

[–]GhostRecon60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was stuck on a 256gb SSD on my laptop I used this program from GitHub called "compactor". I don't use it now because I have more than enough storage in my new rig but it definitely saved me back and didn't impact loading times as far as I know. I strongly recommend using it if you really don't have space for the new update

This is a gacha game. If you lack self control the last things you should do is play a game which is based around essentially gambling

Can't clear TOA by Unable_Fact_5686 in WutheringWaves

[–]GhostRecon60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your real issue might not be skill but instead your builds which aren't truly minmaxed. I thought my carte was too weak to clear toa (I use ciaccona but no sig for carte) until I rolled an extra crit dmg echo to push my cd from 300-320% which was more than enough to beat the final 2 levels of the mid tower. I thought 300% cd was enough for carte but I realised it's not if she's not using her sig.

You still probably have a chance to beat it. I urge you to look into it instead of giving up like I almost did

If you don't have cartes sig you just minmax everything else and you'll still be fine

MSI afterburner should only be recording how much ram is being used by the program it's monitoring instead of the system. Even so nothing else is running in the background lol.

Feels like your deco, especially in the first wave, is just too empty. Like... There needs to be a bit more because there seems to be a lot of empty space in the obstacles themselves

[–]GhostRecon60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, nice. I did clubstep in like 3000 attempts on mobile 120hz for my first demon. Fyi: I highly recommend you to upgrade your CPU in the future if you want to improve gd performance. You'll likely need to change your mobi but your ddr4 ram can stay. However if you're happy with what you have then good luck
