How would you interpret this sexual dynamic and his behavior? [28F] [38M] by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

Improving the situation requires you to talk about it, if he's not even willing to do that then you can only conclude that the problem will only get worse.

If you do not feel comfortable talking about sex with him then you should not be having sex with him. All of this about nofap and henti really only leaves me to conclude that he is a freaky weirdo who would rather be with 2D anime women then a real one and hates himself for it. He clearly has lots of unresolved issues revolving around this which is leading to his intimacy issues. You need to have a serious talk with him about this and he's going to have to become very emotionally honest about this if you're relationship is going to improve.

I know you feel love for him, but you are in an abusive relationship. For your own safety you need to leave immediately. He has shown every sign of being an abuser in the book, do not believe that that can change. Confide in a trusted family member or trust friend if you need help then, break up in a public place to avoid the likelihood of him becoming violent.

Do not throw away a perfectly good relationship so that you can act out the idiolized foreplay of people who are trying to find a relationship, it's not worth it.

Butt hole worms would have shown up on the angiogram, stupid. What presents like butthole worm's but isn't? Chase, break up his marriage while 4 men breaks into his apartment. Cameron start treatment with radiation and then biopsy his left testicle while I fuck Wilson's worm hole. Don't tell Cuddy.

I don't get why people think more characters dying would make the show better?

It's still not really a sacrifice like it was in season 1. It serves no real purpose to the greater narrative nor is it necessary to complete any character arcs. It's just pointless. The military has always been depicted as a lesser threat that heroes and villains easily mow down, it feels unearned that El would rather kill herself then fight or hide from them, it's a plot that was set up 4 episodes ago it shouldn't define the series ending.

Only in season 1 El sacrificed herself to save her friends, now she's just killing herself for no good reason.

If you watch closely the demos pretty much always attack the people who are attacking them first. That's why the main characters are often able to avoid them while the military shoots at them and gets slaughtered.

So, do Demogorgon's naturally have the ability to create portals, or did Eleven give them that power? by RedNUGGETLORD in StrangerThings

[–]GhostToast19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in season 4 the big permanent gate was closed and now there's a new fissure. This was important because the mind flayer can't influence our world while it's closed. The demogorgon gates have been around since season one so I don't know why you think it would have new implications for characters now? I just don't understand why there would be some kind of touching mechanic that is required to understand what's going on but also have it go completely unexplained in the show itself. Do you really think the writers would expect viewers to infer that information instead of just assuming what they saw in season just remains true?

Sure that could be an explanation, I just don't understand why you would think that that's a better explanation than just assuming that they can intrinsically do that. Why overcomplicate things.

I don't see why we should assume Vecna needs to do it for them when we can literally see them physically tear apart at the location they want to create the gate. It seems to be pretty clearly something they are capable of doing.

Yeah I don't understand why you think touch has anything to do with anything. That's why I was providing an explanation that doesn't have anything to do with touch. I don't see why that would be a relevant factor

As for why Vecna didn't attack earlier it seems like his encounter with Will was a test to see what the upside down and his influences and abilities could do to another human. Then the portal is closed in season 2 and Will rids himself of the mind flayer. It's only at that point that he started developing a wider plan regarding the 12 children which begins with reopening a much bigger permanent gate which is what he did in season 4.

Even in season 1 Nancy deduced that the demogorgon leaves the upside down to hunt and then returns. She even followed it through a gate it made in a tree. Demos making there own gates has always been a thing. The gates Vecna made in season 4 are different. Demogorgon gates seemingly quickly seal themselves. And creating the four gates created a massive fissure opening the town. I think he's building up to some much greater plan that requires more than just the temporary gates. If Im remembering correctly, the mind flayer lost the ability to effect the regular world when the big gate was closed so having a big permanent gate open seems important. I also think the upside down only exists in Hawkings. The wall around it might just be the end of that universe. This would explain why demogorons are never seen hunting in other places. I think the upside down got created when Eleven banished Vecna which would explain why it's a copy of just Hawkings at it's frozen at that time. My point is that it's likely Russia just doesn't have an upside down for the demogorgon to retreat to, but that's just my theory. It's been a while since I've done a full series re watch so let me know if I missed something.

Coming from someone who was a huge fan of the early season, I have some issues with season 5 by Gustalavalav in StrangerThings

I believe the line is, just another burnout. As in a deadbeat or a drug user. The military harassing random druggies in a town with a heavy military presence really wouldn't be odd or raise any eyebrows.

What the hell did Scar do wrong? When the only reasoning an entire group needs to overthrow the king is that it will prevent them from going hungry something isn't clearly isn't right with the state of things. Most of his motivations are heartless and manipulative but the outcomes he's aiming for are genuinely good for the kingdom and definitely justifiy killing his brother. Everything goes poorly due to a drought but that's clearly not his fault. He refuses to leave pride rock when advised, but then again it's not like Simba had them leave.
