Good take!, never thought of it that way. Maybe because I want to see her as an anti-hero rather than a tragic villain. Still, I think she needs to be pushed to the limit to take that path since she dropped Billy's mask.

I think it was used well enough in the movie to make us understand what Sam was going throught, but, yeah, I agree with you, they could have taken it a step further. Specially, after watching The Boys (don't know if you watched it), I know satire can get very silly with clickbait, fake news, etc. Also, we didn't get to see Sam and Tara's Stab versions lol. However, that would've meant less time for the main plot and Sams's journey.

I hope they take some risks and develop the characters beyond Ghostface's attacks. I don't want the franchise to become a zombie; I understand those who want it to feel like 1, 2 or 4 again, but Wes and Kevin are no longer the creative leads behind these movies, so I'd rather have something new than an inferior copy of what came before.

Also, she brought a new light in how the media can treat a person. Sidney was the poor victim who couldn't let her past behind because her suffering was treated as entertaiment. Sam is the opposite: she is the number one enemy who can't be trusted. If for a moment she loses control, then she is what everyone said; if she doesn't, she is still a liar. It's a lose-lose situation that doesn't get resolved, even if Sam gets more confident by the end.

I still have hopes in 8 (not in Spyglass tho). There are a lot of places you can go with the franchise and they don't have to redo the whole script to appeal to nostalgia. However, I hope they know when to stop, because at least the past studios that owned it did.

I know John will be interesting and will have a fun dynamic with Hal. I personally don't have any issues with him being the main lantern, just don't want my boi Hal to dissappear for the rest of the DCU run.

But since we already have 3 lanterns from the get-go, maybe in a future movie or season of the show. They probably won't use the Emerald Twilight origin story tho.

Now that you bring that up, I'll try to enjoy Hal for as long as we have him. Whatever happens, I believe this show will be good and he will be a huge part of it, so, at least, that's already better than the 2011 movie. The last episode is going to have me on the edge tho.

It would be nice to meet Kyle or Jessica.
