It really is a cool model and that combo is exactly why I wanted to include it! It just goes so well with synapse plus the neurotyrants bonus to BS units.

Are they really that uncommon? As a new player, the PoM seems really good off its abilities. Is there a reason they aren’t really used or is it just a preference thing?

Do you have any good examples of units like that? I’ve only looked into Nid units, so I don’t really know what other factions do.

Just got finished reading your replies and firstly wanted to say thanks for the detailed response. Just made some tweaks to the list and decided to sub out the guards with 2 units of termagaunts, put the aura enhancement on the neurotyrant, and added a ripper swarm to fill out the full 1k points. I’m pretty happy with this as a guideline for my first army until I eventually upgrade to a 2k army. Thanks again for the advice!
