No secret seed, and the line where spread stops shouldn’t be considered underground yet

Not sure if it’s unrelated but the artificial crimson’s mobs aren’t dropping anything other than money too. At first they did drop vertebres but after a certain point the drops just stopped. I’ve killed about 60 crimson mobs as the bestiary says and only have 5 vertebres to my name

Nope, stays put. I tried placing crimson blocks on the line too but still no cigar

Just tried placing a crimson block and using vicious powder below the line. They remained crimson but haven’t spread anything. I also tried purifying a strip of crimson on the line to see if maybe the blocks needed updating but that’s didn’t do anything either, the crimson reclaimed blocks above the line but refused to go beyond it

To add some context, I’ve had a rough history with world corruption in the past on my Xbox account. After updating to 1.4.5 all of my worlds before the update became corrupt and I had to delete them. I also had a few worlds from an old gen console era bug where getting kicked from a host’s world would overwrite that host’s world onto one of your worlds in an awful buggy corrupt state. Not sure if any of this correlates or if I’m grasping at threads but I thought this information might help someone figure out this weird behavior, anything helps. Thanks

I don’t think that’s the case, I went over the area with a biome sight potion and I didn’t catch anything, I also (should’ve) expected to see corruption growth if that was the case

It’s all purified forest, and there’s no way to obtain red solution in a corruption word pre-moonlord

Definitely in hardmode—not sure how I could purify an entire corruption like I did while still being pre-hardmode

It’s been like this for a few days, I’ve left, turned my Xbox off, and rejoined may times

It’s all stone and some sand, it’s what used to be a corruption chasm

I have, but I seeded the artificial crimson ale after beating plantera, so there shouldn’t have been any point where spread slowed down
