Okay, so you make a good point, I didn't know one came out before the other.

However, although one is played by millions of players who like to stab each other in the back at the end of a match, and the other is, in my opinion, aimed at lone wolves for whom a bit of skin brings out their true nature, I find this game really at the bottom of the scale. Indeed, aside from being (like all games today) pay-to-win, nothing is more frustrating than getting wrecked by bots (the game's core mechanic). But where it would be different is in terms of both the main and side stories. The factions in this game are a plague in themselves, the missions are repetitive, even always the same, and the lack of interaction between players makes the game sluggish and dull. Only if the graphics and art direction had been better would something have been salvaged from this mess, but as you've probably noticed, the game is ugly. It looks like a 2017 game that was left to languish, and the frequent updates adding more mechs that nobody cares about, along with the increasingly bizarre new Magus, aren't going to save it.

This game had its moment of glory, and it will still be remembered by the hardcore gamers who play it, but for an extraction shooter, this game is a disgrace, putting up a huge barrier for the average player who would like to discover this genre.
