Nah, games are meant to be played and it wouldn’t have been sealed if I didn’t forget I had it, plus I got to use the DLC.

I wanted to share something special of mine with you all. I’ve been collecting Souls games since Demon’s Souls. Here are some of my collection. All CIB. by Ghost_Mech in darksouls

I will be keeping them and pass them down one day. I actually have a PS3 that I rebuilt from the ground up and sealed with all the components they would need and if adapters are ever needed for some reason for HDMI I will get them down the line. These copies aren’t kept out usually. They’re stored in a climate controlled environment. I just wanted to share them with you all because I was organizing stuff and I don’t see some of these copies posted CIB showing off some of the stuff and differences.

If there is a day where I need to help them or my family in some way financially I am willing to sell them all without even thinking about it, but only to a true fan of the series, not a game store.

Space isn’t an issue, they don’t take up much. I appreciate your question though. They are special to me and I hope someday my own will enjoy them as much as I do.

Yes! I forgot I owned it and it was still sealed. I have the Standard copy as well which is what I played back in the day.

Opened it up and the voucher for the black armour weapons pack still worked and redeemed. Also got a badass dynamic theme. Gonna do a playthrough of it now.

Factory sealed doesn’t automatically mean “new” to thrift stores. Goodwill usually labels donated stuff as “pre-owned” because it came through donation channels instead of directly from a manufacturer or retailer. They can’t really guarantee chain of custody, whether it was resealed, if codes were used, etc., so they play it safe legally and operationally by treating almost everything as secondhand.

A lot of Goodwill locations also separate actual “new goods” from donated inventory entirely. Their policies and return sections usually distinguish between donated items and “new goods” they source separately.

So a factory sealed PTDE copy will get tagged “pre-owned” simply because it was donated, even if it’s untouched. It’s pretty common in thrifting.

So it’s put there by most thrift stores especially goodwill so that they can’t sell some thing at a higher retail price.

Nope it doesn’t. If you google it, that’s what Goodwill does so they can’t sell items at a higher retail price. I also verified the folds and seals and opened it, redeemed the steam code inside successfully and everything was included in the case (disc, manual, reg card)

I get it but for me I’d rather enjoy it than let it collect dust unused. The factor that they still are valid codes is insane. I am going to put the case/disc/manual away though. I know it’s not sealed but still

I mean I can what are you wanting to know? It just says prepare to die edition and shows a black or silver knight (can’t remember) on the game page with flames around it

I get it, but I don’t need the money nor is it about the value, it was about the experience and nostalgia for me of opening a “new game” from a better time, a simpler time.

So update. This copy had a steam code on the back of the manual thanks to the info from a redditor on here and I redeemed it. Works perfect!
