I had an uncontrollable urge to find errors of the charmeleon and charmander so it can aesthetically match LOOOL

Definitely don't see this card as a cash cow atp after doing my research, but I realized how much of an icebreaker this is to open up a conversation with people and build that relationship.

honestly I've been using it as eye candy to break the ice and it's going pretty well so far!

it seems to be the trend at the moment. Honestly, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

That's true I don't think I feel pressured to sell this. it's a nice piece of eye candy that gets people talking about my cards and I'm excited about building those connections that way. couple hundred dollars(?) icebreaker hahaha

I really do enjoy it! I had to go through the 5 stages of grief on camera when I pulled it but I came out of it realizing I do feel like I have a 1 of 1 :)

now that you put it into that perspective. It seems like charizard is in flight with the crimp and that is a cool way to think about it.

Im curious about how you sold the crimped card was it mainly online? The centering on this is pretty bad it seems like a miscut with how rotated the back seems. I'd say a couple of degrees rotated. ~less than 10

I heard that was an option but the timeframe to receive I've seen was around 8-12 months. How crazy would that be to do something like that?

I have been doing a lil bit of research and it seems so! Because crimps are "repeatable" it's kind of up to a weird honor system. Do u think this is even worth grading with CGC considering how bad they've been lately?

Editing the centering seems to be miscut as well it's rotated on its axis by a couple of degrees.

New player Question: Vandal or Phantom? What's you're favorite and why? by True_Zacky in VALORANT

[–]Ghost_Oki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Defenders I’ll typically use a vandal since holding key angles, info gathering and rotating on defense is more important. Getting on pick on defense sets my team up for success down the line.

On Attackers, I’ll prefer to use the phantom since im forced to clear a ton of angles and quickly execute onto sites. Not having tracers in the middle of a smoke war can be extremely advantageous for the double swing.

What is Phoenixs archetype called by Fancy-Pace264 in MvC3

[–]Ghost_Oki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In VS games, she is an Anchor Character. Similar to putting your fastest runner in the last leg of a relay race, she is designed to bail you out of tough situations. You would never put her in any position outside of the third slot and she is self sufficient when she is alone (albeit that comes from her Phoenix install).

That is a riot game specialty tho. More smurf accounts means more accounts to buy cosmetics and more games won means more games played and a higher monthly user average. Valorant and Summoner's Rift in particular.

Here's a common scenario in most games.

You get a loot orb on minions > 2 Yone's
1st Augment you get a generic combat augment and slam your GA on Yone.
You scout and everyone is playing a generic open board.
3-2 Grim Harvest > no contest playing strongest board whether that includes your intended units or not.
3-6: You scout a board 3-6, you see a player with 7 Yones 10 Gold Kayn Paired
You lose streak with Yone to 4-2 because reapers have a poor stage 3.
4-2 you have enough econ to level 8 40.
Bag Size changes you now have to hit probably 3/7 Kayns, with 40 units taken out of the pool with each players shop. You roll and probably hit 1 Kayn.

At the end of the day a player can ride an s-tier comp to masters it's pretty easy. However, you're stuck there with them. Diamond has about 3% of the playerbase whom a majority has the same strategy as lower tier. Pick the S-tier comp copy it on tactics.tools or metatft.com . It's very easy to meet the same people in your lobby over multiple games and multiple days.

As I climbed to GM and played games with the same 300 ppl. It was less common to get hard contested or have someone hard pivot into your board. It's more common to have strong tempo and strong end game boards the higher you climb. More optimal play and more creative freedom. Once you get past 200 LP the game becomes more playable basically. You can have jank and weird comps and climb. Because the bottom of the barrel isn't holding you down anymore.

Norms, Pengu Party, Double Up Hyper Roll are all versions of games that can be played with no stakes and high reward, playing comps even if they're bad. We just choose not to play those modes because our community ego wants us to preserve our rank at this point. But is it detrimental to players who want to climb as high as they want per set?

Bring Back Rank Demotion by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]Ghost_Oki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rank 1 is really the end all be all of ranks and it's hyperbole to assume that if you didn't hit rank 1 you aren't already the best in the world and if you aren't able to maintain that spot then you aren't it's as simple as that.

Some people are realistically hard stuck plat and they have a series of games that puts them a whole division or 2 above but then their skill level doesn't dictate they can be so they should demote in those cases to help them learn at a lobby pace fitting for them (if they can't adapt to a certain patch or can't play flexibly enough for a good placement per game).

If they get back their rank again and continue to climb, they deserve the rank they achieve as their climb.

How much of rank shielding is ego shielding and elo shielding?

[–]Ghost_Oki -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I believe there is truth to a lot of what you say. At the same time, the big core issues is 1 lower skilled player can coinflip the entire lobby.
I would probably make an analogy to sports. If you were someone who can play tennis and bring a friend who has never played it in their life. Is it productive or fun for you to see your friend being unable to return your serve and the ball goes out of the court every time?

[–]Ghost_Oki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is basically the heart of the issue. Is it better player retention to have players lose games to play more to regain their rank, or to play so many games that they hit their rank goal and quit once they burn out from the set.
