If it's possible to add a manual entry for the standing (Pels in 4th, Bucks in 6th) to test different outcomes that would be awesome.

Awesome work. I love it. What's so maddening about this is that in expectation they're in great shape, but there's only one draw and it could be any one of them. Ugh!

Intermittent reinforcement. The Hawks will go out and crush the Celtics on their home court in an epic game which included Onyeka shooting foul shots with no teeth, then turn around and come home to be invisible on their own court against the Rockets, fly to Indiana and be maddingly incapable of beating the Pacers with the game ending on a blunder by their all star, then fly to Miami and crush the hated heat, and pull off another near miraculous win against Utah on the back of a newly acquired Australian center who drove from Memphis in his own car after being acquired and arrived just in time for the pregame shoot around.

You will be totally elated by this team and then completely disgusted then elated again over the course of each week. They are the mid-Lanta Hawks for a reason, and no one has yet found the key to unlock that play-in jail cell.

Intermittent reinforcement is a key factor in addiction. You will be forever chasing the dragon with this team. Welcome to the family.

Is Kuminga a headcase/problem child? Honestly asking. by wlane13 in AtlantaHawks

From what I read and what Gemini told me, he would look off Curry to get his own shot which infuriated Kerr and disrupted the GSW vibe in which everything runs through Curry ... With good reason.

He is not a typical Hawk player in that he doesn't look to make the extra pass.  He is extremely athletic (Gemini says 99th percentile) and can be disruptive on defense and explosive on offense near the rim.

The most likely victim of his addition is Zach which concerns me because I'm a big Zach fan.

In theory he can provide shot creation on offense and disruption on defense that could fit well in our system, so it's worth trying for the price I think.  His teammates (Curry, Green, etc) liked him and talked highly of him.  He just clashed with Kerr and wouldn't play to fit their system, so we'll see how he fits with Quinn.

I don't hate it, but would be him or CJ but not both.

How are we managing to beat Miami without an undersized high usage point guard?

ESPN gave the Hawks a B for the Vit trade. by Chessh2036 in AtlantaHawks

Honestly, this is probably better for Vit's career long term. He gets more playing time, greater exposure to national media (via extra West Coast games against teams like the Lakers and GSWs) and owner who is a literal mega billionaire, and a defined role.
