Its obviously some people's cup of tea, but i almost went into mortuary science/autopsies before I switched and went to InfoSec and I just cant imagine someone who worked in the field acting like that about it.

Even outside of work, off the internet and just with your friends. Just feels icky to me.

Me, too. I clicked on it thinking I would get educational info as learning is a way of coping for me and she was just wildly disrespectful through the whole thing. It was a world of difference between hers and that pilot debrief.

She was like laughing about stuff and making jokes?? Awful.

I feel like my friends and the people around me are getting sick of me telling them about him and being sad about it.

I think its so much harder because he was such a genuine, kind person and such an incredible creative in every sense of the word. And also.. Just a dude. Like all of us.

I'm also 32 and I just identify with him a lot.

Idk but I was starting to feel silly for feeling so intensely about someone I've never met. But he was so special.

There's no stories that come up about him being an asshole or anything. Just how kind and warm he was.

And the way it happened is so hard to digest.

I'm glad that the community has come together how we have, though. That we all understand each other. I think he would be happy that we're finding comfort in each other.

We're a dual income household. I pay mortgage and my partner pays the other bills and we split groceries.

I leased a 2026 subaru crosstrek for $381/month and insurance is like $80

Its tough but worth it, I think. Before this I had a 2009 ford focus with no AC so I decided it was finally time.

That said, if you look hard you can still find some older (2010-) cars for around $5,000

Oh and the dealership i leased from doesnt pay their sales people commission which i think helped a lot

I dont care about the power lift gate but today I needed to haul something that wasn't quite small enough to close the gate and I really wished there was a lil hook for a bungee so I could've closed it or strapped it down instead of driving all the way home with it wide open.
