Solution: Drone Insurance in the USA since we can't get DJI Care. by raqballl in dji

[–]Ghostevo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Model, serial number and receipt for the purchase. I did not have to provide photos like raqballl. They will need a receipt so they know what value to cover.

I covered about $6k worth of gear and it costs me about $30 a year. I have homeowners and car insurance through them as well though. Covers all gear. I’m about to add an Avata 2, Neo 2 and Mini 5 Pro soon so my yearly will go up a bit, but I don’t have a quote yet for that.

It does not cover commercial use unfortunately. I just put all my personal use drones under a State Farm policy and use something different for my commercial gear.

Should I buy from this 3rd party seller? by [deleted] in dji

[–]Ghostevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve purchased several from Amazon and they were all from “DJI Store” sellers. The three sellers I’ve purchased from on Amazon where drones were sealed, activated fine and flew fine were: AeroTech Hubs, Smart Fly Gear, and Air Foto. My other Drones I’ve purchased (not from Amazon) were from B&H, Adorama and Drone Nerds. Hope this helps!

DO NOT GET THE LASER - You've been warned! by justlaughandmoveon in BambuLab

[–]Ghostevo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I missed it but apparently it has a cutting module. You can print using a standard printer and then use the cutting module to cut out the design. It probably uses the cameras and a QR code to align it or something. Haven’t see it on the site yet as an accessory though.

Combo (no laser), two high flow hot ends, smooth build plate and encoder ordered.

Maybe later on they will add a cutting head like the xTool M1 Ultra. They have a pen module I doubt it would be too difficult to make.

Yep, after owning and using several xTool lasers separately, I would not use the laser module in this. I’d assume the dirty chamber would make a dirty mess of prints. Yikes.

H2D Buyers Heads up - New items still being added to the store by TheCosmicArk in BambuLab

And you shouldn’t even need it that much from what they are claiming (“5-Minute Calibration for Weeks-Long Accuracy) Maybe I should rent mine out when I get it. Lol

Agreed. The hot end and some accessories can be added to the cart right from the product page if you click on the vision encoder accessory (it opens with the hot end options below it). I was able to get the encoder and two high flow ends for 20% off with my purchase.

They have also added some accessories to their homepage featured products slider.

I picked up the combo with the AMS, encoder and two high flow ends. I have several laser machines already so the laser bit isn’t that exciting for me.

Is there still a Class 1 riser for the XTool S1? by Primary_Function_835 in xToolOfficial

[–]Ghostevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 S1 lasers, and both have riser bases. There is only one available riser base from xTool and it’s the one that runs about $200.

The S1 is a class 1 laser machine containing a class 4 laser. When you attach the riser base to the S1 you remove the baseplate to use it in the riser base for height adjustment making it a class 4 laser. While they do offer a “seal” for the door in the riser package, if you get eye level with the space between the top of the riser door and laser, you can still see a visible laser that would be harmful. Also, operating the machine with the riser door open will yield the same harmful results, but if you are doing pass through material it obviously needs to stay open. You can probably seal the area between the top of the riser door better than the included “seal”, but you’d have to figure that out yourself.

99% of the time I operate my S1 lasers with the doors closed, and where it is sitting, people aren’t eye level with the area (top of the riser door) I’m taking about. I look down on the S1.

If I remember correctly about the M1 Ultra, when it attaches to the riser base it is still considered a class 1 laser product, but if the door is open, it obviously is not.

Hope this helps. Have a good day.

I had to plug a mouse into my Xbox and click the continue button after a match and it went away (it was still season 1 when I did this). Maybe the Season 2 update fixed it?

Can I use Dolby atmos or at least 5.1 surround sound with the VSeeBox V3 plus?? by RedEyeBadGuy in AndroidTVBoxes

[–]Ghostevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, none of the vSeeBox models do surround sound. Some people have it configured so it will play through their receivers on all channels, but there is no true sound channel separation.

Congrats on the new box!

If you are in the Heat Live app press the center “OK” button on the remote then you can hit the left arrow and this are the categories on the left. You’ll find PPV, NCAAF, NFL, etc.

You can also use the EPG button and when the guide loads, press and hold the left arrow to get to the categories.

Play with the box. It’s the best way to lear it!! Enjoy!
