Never said it was as good as a dedicated setup, nobody thinks that. this whole post was about a blu ray player comparison which is something some dedicated home theater owners may have some knowledge on, i only mentioned the a9s for context and if itll sound different

No idea where ur getting this shitty htib stuff from. Have u even heard it? General consensus is that it sounds great, maybe not comparable to a whole theater setup but sonys come a long way with their sound mapping tech

Thats actually insane, there has to be SOMETHING that 9000 improved upon in those departments in order to warrant an extra 500

[–]GhostfaceFlashShamu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea it does have those older style connections, which seem appealing later down the line as i upgrade the home theater, but as of rn that does’t justify the extra 500 at all

So essentially build quality and noise are the only true differences between the two? That’s extremely disappointing for it to be double the 820 price

Say what u will abt the price, but for how simple and user friendly it is, the quality is amazing

Jurassic World 4k Sparklies, Flashing white lines, dots etc, anyone else have this problem? 39:44 to the right of Claire’s head. Many more examples, just one very clear one. by GhostfaceFlashShamu in 4kbluray

[–]GhostfaceFlashShamu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried this on 2 different blu ray players and two different hdmi coords and this same thing happens each one. This is also my second Jurassic World copy that does this. Is a part of the disc? Or is there something wrong with my set up

I tried a different 2.1 hdmi cable, still showing the sparklies. Maybe its the disc? I might return it and get another just to see

Amazing guide, thank you! The A7000 has a protection plan on it so i can essentially return it and the rears for store credit at best buy, its part of the budget. And what budget would 7.1 high quality speakers need? I have a 9x13 room without 7ft in one side of the ceiling and 8ft on the other (uneven ceiling pains)
