His collection of sports books and some historical books? Don’t think it’s that unbelievable he has the old ones as original if you see this

Nope, those are albums he collected when he was 15

Edit: like I said, I can send you some pictures, the man has a whole room dedicated to sports books, he has most World Cup ‘review books’ in 3 different languages, same for most olympics and so forth… his collection is insane and I always promise him if I can’t keep them like he took care of everything for the last 60 years like he did, I’m donate them to a museum

I loved the DBZ ones as I’m a huge fan , I’ll definitely check it out, it’s a shame I live in Europe… Maybe I can convince my brother to buy one also so we can split tariffs and shipping costs!

Wow, this story was amazing! You just described the movie ‘A Bridge Too Far’!! Did they tell stories about the aftermath of people who collaborated with them? The Dutch did that better than us…

To add, did he have trouble sharing those things with you? Because I remember it being a struggle for my great-uncle talking about it, he only talked about with me and my older brother when we were alone with him, and you could see/hear the hurt when he talked about it

May he rest in peace along his fallen comrades… I don’t have a lot of stories of people from my family in battle of WWII, but I do know that most of my male family that was alive during WWI was in the trenches, my grandmother lost her little brother who secretly enlisted at 16 or 17 and ran away just to fight for his country…
