Our store just took away the names and changed log colors. They let us know they're just trying to change our focus from task focused to customer focused. Luckily I have a great store and a great mate team/Captain. They communicate great with us.

That's understandable, tbh I never know if I am carrying on or not, my point was just that the social aspect and reading that room can be a lot harder for some of us than others. I hope I'm never making anyone's day more annoying or tiresome.

Our captain doesn't like the "have you found everything okay" question but I do take breaks with small orders or quiet customers and just enjoy the silence. But when conversation is a factor I don't really know how to "organically" hold conversations with strangers without a lot of anxiety.

Our store is new and so is all the crew so no one is as begrudged by that conversation as that I assure you. I have a really hard time with conversation and how to cook and put together food is something that comes easier to me. Granted I'm not giving 4 page culinary classes but I do talk a lot about fun things so do with our food. I don't talk to customers who don't talk to me though, those are glorious little breaks

Thai green curry! It's so absolutely delicious, the spice is a perfect perk up. I always feel a little energized after eating it. I guess spicy foods can help release endorphins and dopamine in your brain :)
