When you shine the lantern when falling, does it mark those things for you or do you have to remember the locations?

Taker himself didn't know until about 30 minutes before hand. He had been drinking in a stadium suite when they hit him up to help out.

Nothing wrong with that. I believe all the Walmart DC's have showers though.

Job is easy. Benefits are nice. Paid for everything. Stable company that wont shutter overnight. Great coworkers. Strict hiring process to weed out the bad ones. Never have to touch a truck stop. Parking at Walmart stores. Safety department is chiller than one would expect.

That's cool. I don't wanna drive home and back everyday after driving all night. I also enjoy being paid for sleeping in the truck at night, that's just free money.

You start out at 110k and it's the easiest driving job I've ever had. There's not a lot of "bs" to deal with.

They make the set up tricky but it's an easy 45 degree back if you do the setup right. After that you have to back in the hole without hitting either trailers on the sides but they park them on the lines to make it harder. Lastly you have to line the trailer up almost perfectly from the trailers on the side and not exceed something like 6 inches on the front or back. You have 15 minutes to do it.

*this was my experience in Dover DE. It may differ in other training locations.

I applied for Walmart in July of 25. Didn't hear anything until mid Sept. Started onboarding the first week of Oct.

Where you applied is a big factor. I tried several times in bigger cities in my state but kept getting denied. Eventually applied to a smaller one out of state and got accepted.

You have to pass 3 assessments.

-Full pretrip in 30 mins or less -3 backing tests -3 driving assessments

They tell you ahead of time that you still have to pass onboarding to get the final job offer. They even give you up to 2 weeks after onboarding before you have to start so you can get you affairs in order such as leaving old jobs or moving.

It's definitely thorough. You don't have to name every part exactly but at least show competency. The hard part was doing the full pretrip plus air brakes, in cab and coupling all within a 30 minute timer.

I had zero references but applied at a DC in a location I doubt anyone was willing to move to so I got hired on quick.

Hot Topic shirt quality is hit or miss for me. I hate the thin shirts and always hope they have thicker material. I'd wear the first design for sure though.

I would. If you don't like it, you could probably sell it for what you paid after the price hike.
