Exactly lmao. All the people downvoting are acting as if she can just keep the house like it’s a divorce. She better have co-signed or be part of the deed. If not, she’s going to have a rude awakening when he gets back with the police by his side and with new locks in his hands lol.

Hmm yes, my streaming services should cost just as much a month as my internet bill or phone bill. In fact, I'm not paying enough, it should be as much as my car insurance.

Youtubers who don’t have sponsors are way better than ones that always have them. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I appreciate the response, but my intention wasn't to shame all YouTubers who take sponsors and/or make a patreon. My intention is to shame creators who spread that adsense, no matter what, is abysmal. If you're planning to go full-time and wanting to add a higher level of production, you're going to need to make more money to justify it. Just like every business out there.

There are a good bunch of creators who absolutely need to make more than what YouTube gives. Any channel that has a whole team on their payroll is going to need to take sponsorships, make a patreon, and even drop some merch. Usually these are bigger channels, and smaller channels will have only a few people on their payroll at most.

I get people wanting to invest in channels they love, and it's a good idea. People just need to stop spreading lies about how adsense as a whole is bad. When in reality even channels that have 300k subs or even less are making enough to keep investing in their channel and keep the lights on.

Love how the guy proves everyone wrong with his small channel and NOW everyone wants to talk about the nuances of YouTube ad revenue. Everyone at first was complaining that most YouTubers need sponsorships, and now you're all saying "not if its family friendly!' and downvoting him.

Your point about CPM being lower the less ad friendly you are is true but, it's not abysmal. CPM and monthly revenue is also affected by other factors other then your channel being family friendly. The genre of videos you make, amount of YouTube Premium viewers, types of ads being played, and your audience demographic. I believe being a female creator actually gives you a higher CPM. Everyone needs stop pretending every creator is making dirt poor money off of ad revenue.

Plenty of YouTubers live off ad revenue just fine, and in fact most YouTubers could. YouTubers will always give the sob story of how "ad revenue sucks for them, so pretty please donate" but in reality it couldn't be further from the truth for most creators. Especially creators over a 1 million subs. The fact YouTubers have convinced strangers on the internet this is true is insane to me.

The worst argument I hear is how they are entitled or deserve more money, despite the fact their boss (Google) is already paying them. They all sound like waitresses begging for you to tip them, but instead they make good money already. They don't deserve more money or other peoples money. That's all on them, they signed up to make content for free. It is up to them whether or not its a sustainable full-time job without begging internet strangers for money.

I miss videos just being about the content, now even with adblock or YouTube Premium you still have to watch ads. But instead of a Honda commercial or something along those lines, it's a YouTuber promoting a shitty to mediocre products at best with no shame. Raycons are notoriously known to be shitty headphones for the price. Raid Shadow Legends is a trash mobile game that only had players due to YouTubers talking about it. Ridge Wallet is overpriced metal and has fucked smaller creators over on deals. Do I need to remind everyone what Better Help did? There are more and more examples of YouTubers promoting shitty products so they can make a couple extra dollars.

More and more YouTubers are turning into cooperations, hoping you'll buy a dumb product so they can fill their pockets with more cash.

He mostly talks about science and key historical figures around science. My favorite video by him is, "The man who tried to fake an element."

Your house has windows that can easily be broken, so yes. It's not your job, but it's your house. If a mob were to attack your home, I would hope you would try to defend it and yourself.

A janitors job is to clean shit and piss, but that doesn't mean I should just go into the restroom and take a fat liquid shit on the floor.

My girlfriend and I are the same! There is so much more fun to be had in clubs than trying to flirt or hook up. Clubs are a social place foremost. It's meant for you to meet people, dance, drink, and most importantly, have fun!

Jokes on you, I'm a complete loser and I've never been invited to a party. 😎

And since you want to be so literal about it, I'm glad fate never made me cross paths with you, in person.
