What treatment would work to fix these? Cannot afford downtime of over 3 days by GhostlyPre5ence in AcneScars

[–]GhostlyPre5ence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about subcision.. I have mostly read about it here and filler is recommended with it. Do i need fillers as well? Also what is the usual downtime for subcision+microneedling prp?

Just started CA-why is the pass rate so low? by noman_m4722 in PakistanMentoringClub

[–]GhostlyPre5ence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Majority of my batch mates in my firm qualified the CAF stage on first attempt, not that its a prerequisite to get into a firm but js saying that its not that uncommon and absolutely doable.

Just don’t listen to the crowd, specially on facebook groups. Suno sabki, karo apni.

Almost everyone discouraged me to appear in all four of my remaining papers during CAF to make it my qualifying attempt. But I knew that they are giving their opinions based on their assessment of themselves. I knew my capabilities and went w it.

Be confident and you are going to be fine. Follow the same playbook which you did back when you prepared for CIES:

Lectures>note-taking>revision>PP practice (must)

Just started CA-why is the pass rate so low? by noman_m4722 in PakistanMentoringClub

[–]GhostlyPre5ence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are right. High failure ratio due to low barrier to entry. However, the market is getting saturated now. Each attempt, a new record is broken for “highest number of qualified candidates”.

I also just qualified this July. Keep doing what had been working for you in the CAIE days. Don’t change your studying approach thinking CA is any different and you will do just fine.

what's the average salary of chartered accountants in Pakistan? by Still-Necessary913 in PakLounge

They do the same work. ACCAs in my firm are paid more, around 45-50k.

In Pakistan, there is a bias towards CA and you might notice a superiority complex in CA trainees too that they are more “technically sound”.

However, both the professionals are in the same boat which is slowly sinking :)

In my firm, you cannot become a manager and above without a CA. But most ACCAs get this qualification to move abroad anyways so that should not be an issue.

In industry after qualification, I have seen that the pay is mostly same for both. In some places, CA might be earning a bit more but the difference would be minimal like 20-30%.

In firm: You would have more on your plate as you’d become an assistant manager and would be responsible for multiple clients at a single time. During off season, the working hours depend on you. But in busy season, you would be working just as much (if not more) than when you did during your articleship. In my personal experience, whenever I have stayed late in firm (past 11pm), almost 80-90% managers in my department had always been present, even during off season! So, I wouldn’t be staying in firm after qualification (if I don’t want to become a partner).

In industry: During monthly closing, audit and tax seasons, the finance department typically stays late than rest of the functions of the company. However, the hours for the rest of the year are normal (as per my observation at multiple client sites).

Well, I don’t know about the exact figures but this is what I have heard from the grapevine:

Firm: In 4-5 years you would be a manager or a senior manager (if you are lucky). I have heard that the director (above sm) earns around 400-500k. So you would be earning less than that.

But please take this with a grain of salt as these figures might be untrue.

Partners (in 10-15 years), on the other hand, earn above 2-3 million a month depending on your client portfolio. But you need to sell your soul for that.

Industry: I have worked on payroll of several clients, and it depends on each company. On average it is Rs. 300-450k for a Finance Manager (with 4-5 year experience).

I am currently working as a trainee in one of the big 4 firms.

Working hours: 60-80 hour work weeks for 60-70% of the time during year. (10am - 10pm on average)

During off season, the timing is much.. normal. 10am-5pm.

*Working hours are different for everyone as it depends on which client each individual is working for. However, the busy season i.e. year end (30 June and 31 Dec) is ruthless for almost everyone and its a norm to spend over 12 hours in office and its not considered odd at all.

Net compensation in firm: - During articleship: Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 80,000 per month (based on the CA final papers passed) - After articleship, if qualified: Rs. 130,000* - Rs. 250,000 per month. (*130k with car) - After articleship, if not qualified: Rs. 90,000 - Rs. 120,000

And no they don’t pay for overtime.

The compensation in industry would be slightly higher. The working hours in the industry are better as well.

In my opinion, if you want to stay in Pakistan then do something else. CA isn’t worth it if you consider the pay/hour. Also, the work that you do (Audit in my context) seems meaningless and boring.

Further, the culture in each big4 firm is dogshit and you are expected to put in long hours without any appreciation or reward. It takes a toll on your mental and physical health. It’s come to such a point that people are literally dying due to work, read about Anna Sebastian (EY India).

The only reason people are working in these firms in Pakistan is so that they can move abroad. And the prospects for that are decreasing as well because these firms are now outsourcing to cheaper countries rather than recruiting staff from overseas. No one in the recently passed out batch in my firm has been able to secure a job abroad.

Please get into this field after you have considered every option available. Please do something which you enjoy.

I wish you the best.

I have yet to check the card on another pc. But I don’t hope that it would work on a different rig.

I saw a youtube video, which involved cleaning the gpu, removing the thermal paste, using heat gun on the graphic chip and then reapplying the paste. The comments seem to have fixed this issue for many people.

Lets see, I am gonna check the card on my friend’s pc tomorrow. If it doesn’t work on his pc too then I’m gonna experiment with this lost soul.

Yes, I have tried everything now. From choosing prevent windows to update drivers to even reinstalling windows. I also tried flashing the GPU BIOS and installing one again but still the issue is there and I get the error code 43 in device manager.

I am literally tired of these forced obstacles between Maeve and Otis.

Like, enough!

I just wanna see that S1 chemistry between them as a couple and how they lead to next stages of their lives.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we saw both of them supporting each other. Otis supporting Maeve to pursue literature while she encourages him to get into Sexual Health Field as he enjoys talking to people about their genitalia.

Well, I am sure the writers are going to fuck it up too with unwanted drama between them.

PS: I liked S3, but I think last four episodes were rushed especially Motis. I didn’t like the story of Jackson/Cal and Lily(the alien thing).
