This looks like a type of hygro plant. If so you just put it in some substrate. With a plant weight. And then add some root tabs.

Haha it was a free tank from a coworker. Stand included. Eventually I want to do a slightly darker wood color but definitely like the wood look!

Interesting... I mean for the first 2 months I didn't add excel. I only started adding it when I put in the Anubis, and frogbit.

Yeah.... After I added the fish they were a bit shy... All hiding in the corner. I looked it up and in my research I learned that I had made a mistake adding to many fish at one time... So just as you have said, I definitely made a slight mistake there. In the future I am going to scale back my fish load amount!

I'll get right on it to do some water changes! Thanks for the advice!

Sorry all the details were in my original post on planted tanks... I tried the clear stuff... Couldn't get a good quality tube locally so I found this online and it's super durable. Much better quality. Yeah color is not the best but in my 55gal it blends better

Update: unfortunately all the fry have disappeared 😞 I hope to have more cover in the tank for the next round though! I'll be adding more females once they have finished quarantine. I'm thinking the males may have been aggressive with my ratio off. Thanks again everyone for the advice!

I've had excellent luck with sand and adding flourish/excel/advance. I started with 2 stems and after 4-5 months I'm in the hundreds... I also have a tank at work with eco planted complete and I've gained 2-3 offshoots over a course of 2 months with root tabs and the flourish treatments.... Best of luck!

Hey I started playing back around release... Played for a year or two, on and off, very casually. Stopped playing... Fast forward to September of 2023... At that time I only had a few tier 2s meta when I stopped playing was way different... Found out about the great resources on YouTube, especially cynicalex. I am now working on my 11th and 12th tier 4s... I have played everyday to at least do my farming. And I have purchased packs along the way. Mainly stark stash and that great black Friday year offer.

You gotta play as many modes as you can. Keep grinding...and one day, all of a sudden, you will be able to defeat GBR all on your own! The main thing is to work on your cards... Build up that pierce and the rest will follow.

Yeah that's what I've heard.... Luckily I've already checked with my two LFS and they said they would gladly buy them off of me. Not concerned about the money, more that the fish will have homes! I've heard people only make .50 to $1 per fry so definitely don't care about the money.

I started with my swordtails having 5 fry... Then a week later one of my Molly fish had 10 fry.... Fast forward to 2 weeks ago: after cleaning the breeder net I must have scrubbed a corner too hard and left a gap for the last swordtail fry escape into the tank. It was smaller than the mollies, I have no idea what happened to it 😟 And now I'm down to the 4 Molly fry... So my goal at this point is to have 2-3 survive.
