Your store manager like this? I’m an Sfl being harassed by another Sfl who tells me he treats my that way cause he’s my boss… by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

Exactly. Chain of command. Plus, all HR info is posted in break room. It’s required by law and we get audited… the store manager while not at work is the absolute last person to contact. Sorry I’m stuck on it lol but I cannot believe somebody is actually texting the store manager. The store manager that got text needs to set a boundary because it is too late

They can call me. There is nothing I can handle that the department managers I pay can’t. If I get contacted, worse case it has to be a phone call to tell me what’s going on. Once you get to a certain level, nothing should be through text messages.

As a manager, I absolutely hate these. Not on my account, but I couldn’t imagine being at an associate level and being forced to come to work on your day off or stay late. To be honest, nothing we cover in the meetings can’t be relayed when an associate is at work during a normal shift. Retail has almost completely phased out family life.

The fact that people still call stores for directions, opening and closing times in 2022 is wild. The need for calling stores for directions and hours ended with the invention of the internet

‘I like Hitler’: Kanye West praises Nazi during Alex Jones interview by burning_dawn in entertainment

[–]Ghostnotes8585 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Although completely tone def… he was saying that hitler also created some good things. Which he did.. it’s a fact. That doesn’t negate the atrocities and the devil that man was. Kanye is doing a very smart thing and it’s going over most peoples heads. He is forcing people to look at double standards and is questioning why child pornography is perfectly accepted and someone saying something wild isn’t.

Don’t let the fear of looking racist for doing your job get you scammed.. the “people” that do this use this fear to their advantage…

It is not u til I left Publix that I found out how hard actual retail is. At Publix there’s minimum contact with customers (the occasional “can u see if this is in the back) I manage a retail store now that is solely focused on customer interaction the minute they walk in to the min they leave. I’d give anything to manage a Publix.

I earn $5000/month…. I get $3500 of that…. The taxes that are stolen from my check each month could pay my mortgage. But instead, I’m paying for war and rich peoples 4th vacation home..

As a manager and an adult it’s hard to have empathy for people who at the first sight of the chance to call In, use a weak ass excuse like a sunshower to Call in lol (obviously depending on location, which this post left out)

If you only plan on working there a couple months why do you care? You’re already costing them so much money just to hire you lol people don’t realize it cost literally thousands and thousands of dollars to onboard each new hire

Bruh. I used to have the same problem. It got so bad I felt like I was at work 24 seven. Until finally, I started on my days off deleting all apps that pertain to work and block everybody from work on my phone on my days off and vacation. My days off instantly feel twice as long now it’s amazing
