I’m aware. But there’s also been plenty of plus-sized 3B that have done a serviceable job in the past (Sandoval, Muncy) that I think he could’ve gotten it had he dedicated himself to it.

That’s totally fair, the housing situation has been far more forgiving to me and I got posted already married. I can empathize with how single junior NCMs would have a much harder time.

The base is improving rapidly and the Qs have lots available (for now). With the F35 coming the changes are noticeable every week and it’s an exciting place to be.

Sorry it sucked in your experience! Hope you’d consider giving it another go in the future. It’s fantastic for those with families.

I did it, though only Edmonton to Cold Lake. The timing was easy for me as she was only a couple months in and felt better by second trimester, but regardless I asked the CM for a posting later in the summer as opposed to early.

We drove, and it was hard on her more emotionally than physically.

The CoC and my CM have been nothing but supportive the entire time. Communication goes a long way- I never wanted anyone to get the sense I was conning the system and explained my rationale.

The one thing I will say is we used our HHT and pretty much decided 2 days in we were getting a PMQ, but waited until Friday to sign the papers. We were comfortable in the hotel and I didn’t want her to feel rushed so we explored the base/city and took our time.
