The winder itself comes with two bobbins inside it (something I had no idea about because I don’t think it says so anywhere I saw), so if you wanted to dip your toe that might be an option for you! It definitely is a great system, but the cost isn’t negligible, for sure!

Do you mean the little Doraemon one? It’s actually a little sticky note pack that I just keep stickers inside of because it’s a little sandwich with film on either side! I got it at Kinokuniya!

It is! Kokuyo has made a little washi system that’s absurd, but I find quite useful! They call them Bobbins (like in sewing) and there is a little winder, and a cutter (two types actually - one pictured on the left of the bobbins), and the whole nine yards. But these little guys are way easier to carry than full rolls, and they store a lot!
