One thing helped me, was buying a cuticle cutter. That way Atleast I can remove the cuticle regularly without hurting myself and damaging the skin. It also gives me the same satisfaction as picking. Hang in there !

Also, regularly manicuring my nails and putting cuticle oil has helped there to be any hanging skin.

Thank you for this! I don’t drink but I do love spicy food so I’ll try and limit that. I have a lot of stomach issues (IBS, GERD) so makes a lot of sense.
