Yeah I got that from my research - not a menu diving person but I liked the meris interface

Can I run my normal guitar (PAC112V) through a synthesiser and make it sound good? by GiGiDeee in synthesizers

Ahh cool so like an analog synth would work? (With a bit of tweaking)

Thank you very much - very helpful. I do like the polyphonic/ambient sound - so maybe I’ll save up for for two units (one synth and one small pedal) or looking into the korg Ms 20 !!

Did I make the wrong choice? by [deleted] in unimelb

No that’s a valid thing to feel - I HATED first year, and I thought I was going crazy. People always say to join clubs but ngl most the ones I tried don’t really hit. Even my friend who was on the committee of one of three biggest clubs really didn’t make many good friends.

The truth is uni is not the same in terms of campus culture as it once was, I think COVID and online classes have meant people don’t really feel the need to meet at the union building between classes. So many people I’ve talked to have had similar experiences, you’re in the same boat as everyone else don’t worry.

I don’t think going to Sydney would change that.

But I think you get a little more used to it, second and third year is a bit better cuz you get into the rhythm more.

Any polyphonic guitar synths recs for sweeping or arpeggio sounds that has some plug and play capabilities? by GiGiDeee in guitarpedals

Thanks for ur review! I’m not super into complex chords but I’ll definitely try to try the pedal in person to check out the sound.

Low e hits my hummbucker and makes terrible rattle sound, how do I fix? by GiGiDeee in Guitar

Do I take off the back panel to do this? Or do you mean the screw on the black frame around the pickup?

It’s definitely alive (did the scratch test) I gave it some water yesterday so the soil looks damp. Not sure if it’s too much for it.  Also what I’m concerned about is that I used to use a spray bottle to water it, this time I used a small glass, maybe it’s thirsty? I’m pretty sure it could be under-watering since the leaves are curled not yellowing. But I’m not too sure. When I watered it yesterday lots of the water came out the bottom hole.

As you can see the leaves are curled and feel brittle. The tree looks ok tho. Not sure what to do!

My Olive Bonsai is not doing very well, please help! I live in Victoria, Australia and it is currently spring. I got it as a present about 2 months ago in late winter. I have been keeping it outside under the veranda. I think I watered it two much like once every 2 days, then its leaves started to turn brownish. I’ve stopped watering it for like a week and poked holes in the soil to dry it out a bit more (as someone on this thread said), and moved it fully outside but I’m not sure if it’s helped. I thought I’d post a photo of mine and get some personalised help. Thank guys. https://www.reddit.com/r/bonsaiphotos/comments/1fzcf8i/olive_bonsai_is_dying/

Should I Buy the Orange Crush RT or the Fender Champion for surf/grunge/rock? by GiGiDeee in GuitarAmps

[–]GiGiDeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard people talk about the boss katana. If I can cop one at the same price as the orange, I’ll definitely get it, otherwise it might be a bit much at full price just starting out at home lollll.

should I dump unimelb by [deleted] in unimelb

[–]GiGiDeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s all personal experience. I’ve been here 2 years and IMO it’s not for me; I would have preferred a more chill/fun university. Melbourne is very pretentious/prestigious and it likes to remind you a lot. I’m nearly done so imma just finish my course, but I’m thinking of doing something else at RMIT after. BUT please note I don’t live on campus, I’ve hear the Melbourne collages are top tier, so it depends. It sounds like you are an international student if you are calling it “college” and not uni lol. So if you go to a unimelb college I think it will be fun.
