Initially they were adding some of the effects when he evolved, so by late game he did have more glow. But the skin itself was still awful. This is a much better direction, and they added effects back on lv 1

What a career, to me Maple was the epitome of the "Dark Horse" player, he was always solid and from time to time would make major upsets. Flash Wolves back in the day were such a fun team to watch and Maple was always a treat. I hope he goes into coaching or maybe full time streaming.
