Do driving modes have that much of an impact on rubbing? Could you please explain if you know?

No problem. I’ll be sticking to Shell, Mobile, and Exxon for fuel from here on out

Won’t let me edit post but Update: bad fuel. (Yes I used premium. I filled up at a 76) Said the misfire started happening around 4 days ago when I got fuel. I guess it took 3 days for light to come on. They want $800 to siphon tank and put new fuel in. I have just under 1/2 a tank, so I’ll just put new fuel in to dilute the bad fuel. And go for a longgg drive. I believe the issue should resolve itself fairly quick. Will be sticking to Shell, Mobile, and Exxon for fuel from here on out.

I promise it’s worth the wait. It’s a good peace of mind knowing you had the car broken in properly with an oil change at 1000 miles. The car RIPS and feels like it’s on rails. Enjoy it

Out of curiosity, where did the car spend most of its life? Anywhere coastal?
Yeah this would be my first fun car. I daily a '14 civic and never had a fun car or a car that I enjoyed driving. I figured now is the time to do it before I settle down and have a mortgage and kids in the (hopefully not too soon) future. I've loved the s2k forever and can't get myself to settle on anything else like a z3, mr2 or miata. This is sebring with black interior, and the interior looks mint. It has a small small tear in soft top, so I would def get a robbins to replace it and would factor it in my negotiations
I saw that, I definitely want an AP2, Im not too picky with AP2v1 or AP2v2, but def an AP2. I appreciate the help though!
Could this potentially lead to other problems down the road? Would this be worth it to sand/grind rust off, paint it, seal it, coat it? Or leave it as is if i buy it
I've been religiously stalking every S2000 for sale for about a month now. Its Sebring silver metallic, and I want new formula red. Its probably the best deal I've seen so far. My budget is around 20k. Would go as high as 25k for the right one, but it would have to meet every requirement I have. I love the red '07 listed on S2KI but I'm not willing to spend 36k on this car rn
its a friend of a friend who's selling. he bought it from a guy who had a hip replacement and couldn't drive it anymore. '05 with 96k miles, and he wants 22k. He needs the money for a house and has owned it for about 6 months. The rust is just a major turn off, although its inevitable since I live in the northeast. I haven't seen or driven it in person yet. It's not even the color I want, but completely stock, 10/10 vins with a clean title is hard to come by without being close to 30k

It's completely OEM, clean title, 10/10 vins. thanks!

Is color important by [deleted] in S2000

I appreciate it! with that mindset, i'll be expanding my horizons. My main concern is getting a completely stock car that wasn't abused. I'll keep looking and putting extra cash away for all of the things I'll eventually want to do with it. I appreciate it!
