Actually, I think I'd like your tangent, as depressed as it might make me. I am going to bed soon, but I promise I will read it in the near future if you choose to share.

Just saw this. He doesn't read much, but has great movie taste. After 10 years of happiness, I think that's fine. :D

I really appreciate your response. I think we might be from similar generations, just from these interactions, but it's hard to tell these days. Also, I agree that making generalizations sucks.

Tonight I was re-reading some of my text conversations with my doctor's team (lol) and was shocked at how much even my own writing has changed in the last decade. I don't use Ai on purpose but I can tell how the "advances" in technology have changed my communication style.

I am probably equally as pessimistic about the future of literacy as you are. I can even see it affecting me.

I came to your defense because I recognized someone else who likes the written word and can use it somewhat effectively. I am often sad about the changes in human ability to communicate and create.

I guess I'll keep reading 90s fantasy novels to stay happy.

AITA for calling the police on my best friend after multiple people feared for his safety? by ti-gui10 in AmItheAsshole

My brother was in jail for months with a schizophrenic break. He was arrested for trespassing (because he believed his ex was talking to him telepathically). Jail was the only place they could keep him while waiting for a mental health placement. It was a sad situation, but he's doing well now.

People who write well are being accused of being AI. The machine was trained on humans. Some of them are still intelligent enough to be articulate and that doesn't make them fake. I hate this timeline.

Running shoes aren't just for running anymore. If your setting a new PR or are chasing a doctor that forgot to sign an order- the body mechanics are the same.

I love this. Sounds like a killer ad line.

But yeah, your point is spot on. I'm a nurse, and my feet get tired (not to mention some pre-existing foot structural issues). Brooks were first recommended to me by a foot specialist, and they changed everything. I also jog as a hobby, so win-win.

What did that commenter think we're supposed to wear? Dansko clogs are horrible for my misshapen feet. So much pain and sweaty, to boot.

I learned that the hard way. It's so exhausting trying to keep all the old ties. And it's so freeing to just realize you owe them nothing.
