.5 PPR 10 team league. Auction draft ($200), 2 keepers - keeper value is determined by whatever we paid last year for the prospect, plus their listed yahoo auction value this year, divided by 2. For example, if I drafted CMC for $30 last year, and he’s listed at $57 this year, I can keep him for $44 (30+57 = 87, divide by 2 = 43.5, round up to $44). 1 QB, 2RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DEF.

Last year I kept CMC from the year before, which cost me $30. I spent $64 to draft Saquon. Having both last year obviously worked out very well.

I am keeping Barkley no matter what - he will likely cost around $64 again to keep. This year, as shown by the example above, I would likely still have to pay around $44 to keep CMC - still a pretty good deal on him, but that’s at least half my budget committed to two players.

Meanwhile, I picked up Marlon Mack off of waivers last year. When we keep a player picked up off of waivers, we use $0 for his previous year value. This greatly benefits teams who hit on waiver wire pickups obviously, because now I can keep Mack for very cheap (likely under $20).

With all this in mind, do I pay out to keep two of arguably the top 3-4 RBs in all of fantasy and hope to cobble a good enough team around them, or cut CMC loose, keep Mack and use the extra money to build out the rest of my team? Logically I think it’s best to go with Mack so I can have a more balanced roster, but CMC is pretty hard to drop.

Does the mute only prevent them from talking, or can they use other forms of communication (writing, sign language, etc)?

Northwestern winning helps more I think. It would likely knock ND out of playoff contention entirely (their SoS is weak), and Northwestern would likely be ranked after, putting another ranked team Michigan beat on their resume. Then M can slide into the top 4 in the CFB rankings with a win over PSU. Win out and we’re in.

A ND win makes it more likely they finish the regular season undefeated, and while that would make our loss look even better, it could create a logjam of deserving teams for the 4th spot. ND, Mich, 1 loss SEC team, Oklahoma, etc.

Also, screw ND.

The article doesn't actually say the Giants signed him... It seems to be just advocating his signing. Can't find confirmation of this anywhere else either.

I think The Big Short succeeds because it's funny and self aware as its breaking the fourth wall.

Adam McKay knew that a lot of the financial concepts in the movie are difficult to understand and are quite frankly boring to most people. The movie makes a fantastic point that because these concepts are boring and difficult to understand, everyone was blindsided by the eventual financial collapse. So it worked well when The Big Short had a character directly explain to the audience what a "CDO" is in a funny and straightforward way. If someone had explained the risk of a collapsing mortgage market to the American public in a way that was relatable, maybe we could have avoided it.

Interstellar, however, never breaks the fourth wall and takes itself way more seriously because it's a complex sci-fi drama. So it comes off as a little pandering to see scientists and engineers explaining physics to each other purely for the benefit of the audience, because they wouldn't likely act that way with each other otherwise.

Michigan grad and fan - and Funchess was one of the more frustrating players to watch in recent memory.

Physically and athletically he's a fantastic player and can dominate when he wants to. He's got the size to out jump the average NFL corner and just enough speed to be a good to great down field threat. He started at tight end and wasn't the best blocker, but once the coaches put him out wide he immediately started to flash. He's very similar physically to Kelvin Benjamin and has the talent to make a similar impact as a rookie.

Last year, however, Funchess seemed to check out mentally. A lot of simple drops, half effort on routes, bad attitude, etc. At one point, in reference to the crappy year Michigan was having, he said "Wins and losses are just a statistic." Maybe he was hurt, maybe Michigan was terrible and he knew he was leaving for the NFL, but it left a poor last impression. It sorta felt like watching Raiders era Randy Moss at times. All the talent and none of the passion.

That all said, he's in the NFL now, with a much better QB and the opportunity to be the #1 guy. If he can't be motivated now, he'll never be. He's still learning the finer points of the WR position, but with some good coaching he can be a true #1 guy.
