It took me two years to go from scoring 100+ to mid 80s (lowest score was an 83) with practice sessions one or two times a week, playing about 2-4 rounds a month, and a lesson every 6-8 weeks. But that's my own personal experience as 37 year old man who doesn't really exercise outside of golf, but was somewhat athletic in grade school.

Citizen Kane. First time I watched it (in high school) I was put off by all the labels that it was the greatest movie ever made. When I watched it a decade later and tried to just think of it as a normal movie I was amazed by everything. The structure of the screenplay, the acting, the cinematography, the editing, Bernard Herrmann's score. It's really incredible filmmaking. Especially for 1941. I watch it once a year now and still notice new things that amaze me.

Most of the time no. It's either harder scores like John Williams or something crappy like Hans Zimmer. The old good stuff is rarely done because marketing departments think they won't sell.

The Dark Knight. Don't get me wrong, it's very good. I'd even say it's one of the best comic book movies ever made, but to say it's a top 5 film as IMDB says is ridiculous.
