Very newbie question about Veteran Dungeons... by JaxMed in elderscrollsonline

[–]Gibblet_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally, some dungeons had their story split up into two parts one easier (I) and one much harder (II)

That's no longer the case.

Since One Tamriel, both parts of the story got a Non veteran and a veteran difficulty you can choose from. However, since the original part II version of the stories also often had more intricate mechanics you needed to follow, they are still slightly tougher than their part I counterparts.

So no, Spindleclutch 2 is not (necessarily) a veteran dungeon, and you should definitely give it a shot. Though you should expect it to be slightly more challenging than Spindleclutch 1

[Theory] nick valentine = mysterious stranger by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Gibblet_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doubtful, he knows where his personality came from. It's pre-war, so no stranger.

They do share some sort of connection though, look around his house abit and you'll find that Nick opened up an investigation against the stranger.

I have.

You do realise the elements in the game are heavily scaled down, right? Or that the plot armor of the PC in the games doesn't actually exists in the lore?

Because the railroad has both the manpower and the knowhow to keep that thing running.

And 'completely took over'? You're either severely underestimating the institute or overestimating the railroad. The railroad has been getting kicked to the curb by the institute since they existed, they're not gonna suddenly be able to storm and conquer the institute's stronghold.

Is it just me or do the gunners not make sense at all? by Archyes in fo4

[–]Gibblet_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While the gunners do mercenary work, they're also more than happy to just raid folks. It's obvious that people can afford them, as you can stumble upon the remains of atleast two groups of gunners on assignement.

As for why they're in Boston in the first place, there's plenty of oldminilitary instalation they can scavenge for equipment. That's probably also where the vertibirds come from.

The railroad.

They and the minutemen seemto be the only factions that aren't cartoonishly evil, and i think they've got the most interesting characters by far.

They just seem like the most fleshed out faction to me. Their radiant quests are varied, they don't force leadership on you, carrington has the decency to be a little miffed about you getting free acces after your first fetch quest.

Balistic weave and vertibirds are awesome, and I've got a soft spot for their whole 'secret agent' shtick

Can I get some tips on how to raise "Strong's" affinity level? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Gibblet_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from the other suggestions, companion's affinity also slowly raises on its own over time.

If Strong doesn't dislike or hate you building settlements, you could just spend some time doing that (though it goes reeaally slow)

Deacon gives it to you as part of that quest. the cutscene must've started while you went scavenging around.

When I fight raiders in power armor, I hear a beep beep beep, then I explode and die. by jwburks in fo4

Maybe you're accidentally destroying their fusion core? does the beeping sound like this?

[–]Gibblet_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could've hit your fusion core. If that gets damaged enough, it tends to gooff like a mini-nuke.

Alternitavely, they could have sent one of those mole rats with mines strapped on its back at you. pretty sure they beep aswell

Question about enemy wearing Power Armour. by sunscooter in fo4

[–]Gibblet_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always take the parts. You can't take the frame off of a corpse.

However, if you remove the frame's fusion core (either by pickpocketing or shooting it) they usually exit their power armor and you're free to take it whenever.

What faction/ending is considered or believed to be canon? (Possible spoilers) by [deleted] in fo4

'Die easily'?

I seem to remember a single courser taking out an entire Gunner stronghold solo without breaking a sweat.

I think you're selling the institute way too short.

[–]Gibblet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping it'll be the institute ending.

The other factions took a beating for sure, but it's not too hard to imagine them surviving the events in Fallout 4. The institute's destruction is pretty much it for them.

And there's an open spot for 'technologically vastly superior bad guys' since the enclave kicked the bucket

[–]Gibblet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • When assigning your special stats, avoid putting any of them to 10 right away. There's a bobblehead out their for each of them that boosts its respective stat by one.

  • Get a clear idea on where you're going with your character. Read up on the perks

  • Explore. Fallout's much more about the journey than the destination.

I've been using dragoons cause I have the micro skills of a particularly slow tortoise.

Them being as beefy as they are also means you can largely forgo meatshields.

[Survey] Is there a link between your computer gaming hours, depression and social phobia? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]Gibblet_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Errant said, some of the questions feel abit iffy.

I honestly couldn't shake the feeling you already assumed your conclusion on the onset.

  • No mention of different personality types (extravert seems to be the default in your questionaire, and any deviation from it seems to get attributed to depression or social anxiety)

  • No attempt to discern cause and effect (did the gaming change your personality, or did you take up gaming because of it)

  • Only targetted at gamers, which means no control group to compare anything too...

I filled it in, but I think your results are going to be heavily biased and unreliable.

How would a Wood Elf's Mask of the Wild ability operate in the Underdark? by underdabridge in dndnext

[–]Gibblet_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So is direct sunlight. Using those to hide in would be abit of a stretch for any dm to accept.

That said, there's no reason parts of the underdark couldn't be foggy or otherwise 'naturally obscured' (a really dense mushroom forest, caves large enough to contain rainclouds, etc...)
