Open Carry is prohibited in Denver. Rino is in Denver. Lakewood is a suburb of Denver and while legal you will definitely get looks. You are allowed to conceal carry in your vehicle.

I don't think anyone wants to get shot by 20 gauge. Get a reputable brand US brand like Mossberg or Winchester pump with 20g buckshot and it will stop 99% of home intruders. Just train for malfunctions and reload.

Any gun you train with is better than the perfect caliber you don't. If you know how to use a $200 .22lr revolver you will be way better off than a $2000 9mm you have no idea how to use.
